They represent Ferries of course, but also may be bridges (road or railroads) and all kind of means facilitating the crossing of the river.. Major Ferry are for Major Rivers, Minor Ferry are the same for minor rivers... a crossing time of 1 day is normal (trafic congestion at the bridges / ferries)... hope this helps :indien:
