National Objectives

Fri Jul 18, 2008 12:16 am

I'm new to this game and am just getting the feel of the interface; the manual states that "each nation indicates its objectives to help guide the player when it first appears in the game."

But where exactly do these objectives appear?

National Objectives?

There is a scroll to the lower right of the screen at the beginning of a new campaign that lays out an historical outline for that period, so perhaps that's what the manual is referring to by "national objectives."

I may be spoiled by EU2, which gave the player well-defined, optional missions in a separate menu.

I don't know where else they might be available, but you can find them in the Palace. I think its the 10th? item.

CTRL + P shortcut key brings you directly to the concerned page, provided you are in the MAP Window. It works for the currently selected active nation, of course.

Of course, on the back of the manual: The Victory Objective Page!

A goal for every nation

Hi, I have not bought the game but are considering to do so. Does your discussion imply that every nation has their own victory conditions. I prefer a game with a defined goal over an open game.
Thanks.
