This game could be made so much better if there were just a little work done on the information flow to the player. The popups are ok, but the addition of a visible running log on screen, a la games like Europa Universalis, would be so much better. The log could include so much more info than the popups, such as timely battle results, reports on movements of troops, activities of missionaries, etc.
Tweaks to the game, like that, might just revive it and make it more popular. it has so much potential.
