I know that on your website it says that there is no gaurantee that it will work on Vista. However do you know if it has worked on vista and has anybody had it working on vista?

I know only one guy was able to play GI with Win Vista. He told me his version of Vista was a bit "tweaked", but he did not remember or know what exactly was different. I just searched his posts in the forum, but I didn't find them. What you can do is to search his identity, and contact him...

What I can tell you for sure is that the graphic engine (map engine) of Great Invasions is strictly compatible with DirectX 8.1, while Win Vista requires absolutely at least DirectX 9.0b...

I may be the second guy here that plays GI with Vista :sourcil:

but had no problem to play with the game... :coeurs:

So I went ahead and bought this game hoping that it would work. I managed to install it inall, but it wont run. Says theres a problem with DivX. I downloaded the latest version of it, but that didnt help. Gutted!!

Does anybody know how I can fix this?

Try disabling the "Play Logo" option in the Setup tool (Start menu > Great Invasions)...

But if, even with Intro logo avi disabled, the game doesn't work, don't tell me that I did not warn you about Vista! :grr:

I updated DivX to the newest version and it works now. Nice one Demarcroix!! It crashed after five mins (but I think that was my fault actually). Anyways looks good. Now I just gotta work out how to play it.

P.s. Dont worry, I wont be asking for my money back. I knew the risk.

I have Vista and just bought GI on 15 Oct 2007 - it works fine.
