Johnston finds McDowell has moved to Washington, so decides to strike Baltimore and Fort McHenry.

Beauregard finds McDowell has moved away and Patterson has collected a huge force (probably militia) in Alexandria.

Beauregard decides to stay in his entrenchments in Fredericksburg and hopes that Patterson will meet him head on and not go around to Richmond.

General Banks, stationed at Fort Monroe, (who I thought was locked  ) moves to Richmond and captures it and Charlottesville in the same movement.

It seems the miltia stationed there retreated away rather then try to defend the Confederate captial. :(

McDowell recaptures Baltimore.

Scott retreats to Baltimore.

Map Corrections

In case anyone was wondering, my opponent was the AI.

I also noticed an issue with the map. Winchester was not in the right location and was in the count of Frederick . The old BoA map had Winchester where Washington DC is on this map, which was in Montgomery county and Fort Frederick where Winchester was shown.

So, I corrected this issue, and the issue with the Strategic cities as shown below.

Harpers Ferry Located on Map

Once I located Frederick, it was easy enough to locate Harpers Ferry. Me thinks, because the regions are fairly large and the city locations were meant for an earlier time.

I have decided Harpers Ferry should be unoccupied at the scenario start.

Also, me thinks Manassas was the Southern Name given to the 2nd battle of Bull Run. True? If so, I will remove Manassas from the scenario title.

Well, I was wrong about Harpers Ferry

It is supposed to be on the Virginia side of the river.

So I may not be able to use it after all. Oh well. I am still learning the civil war map and city names and locations.

One thing me thinks is imperative with using BoA. I think I will have to use named brigades for the Union.

I play alot against the AI, and of course BoA does nothing to keep the AI from scrambling the divisions together. So naming them by number is quite pointless.

But the good news is you can put all those units into the same stack, and close your eyes and SEE the organization that you require. :w00t:

Oh and I finally found the sections of leaders (one stars) that I quess you are suppose to use with the generic Division HQ guy.
