Hi everybody. Just having a break to my PBEM, re-reading first days of the campaign ... got into this

"""Thursday May 2, 1861... The hitherto unknown colonel Jackson makes considerably changes in the troops under his command. He picks officers for their ability, instead of having the militia elect them, as has previosuly been h rule. He also establishes the principles of discipline, administration and drill, which will turn volunteers into effective fighting men in the minimum time."""

1400 days.

I m not an expert as some of you here but... Driller / Trainer / Good subordinates are some skills than come into this.

Perhaps give more power to this man is unbalancing? Just upgrading the myth :coeurs:

Any good officer made an effort to drill his troops and instill discipline. Jackson wasn't special in that regard.
