A suggestion:

The Indian Units in the game really ought to be redone to better represent the tribes of the southeast [remember, they were forcibly removed to Indian Territory]. As the game stands now, the units look like Plains Indians. Creeks & Cherokee Indians did not live in tipis, nor did they wear their hair or dress as depicted.

Also: Sorry, I cannot remember where I noticed this, but in one of the tooltips, "replacements" was spelled as "reMplacements".

I agree on the first bit, the "Civilised" Indians had an entirely different look from the Plains Indians. Then again, it might be a game design decision to use fewer graphics... An alternative might be to use regular cavalry regiments (or identical to Texas Rangers) to represent Watie's, Drew's, Cooper's and McIntosh's Regiments instead of the current system. In many ways these units were similar to Militia of other states, and some of the bad press they got definitelly isn't warranted (they actually captured a battery at Pea Ridge before they "routed" at Pea Ridge, the scalping incidents from that battle also seem to have been very rare and not definitely traceable to Watie and Pike's Regiments).

On the replacements/remplacements issue, the second term is french, I assume the rest of your game is english language, in which case it's probably a carryover error.

I didn't know that about the French ... I should have, as I took the language in school for quite a few years ... a very long time ago.

Anyway, as for the Indians ... Stand Waite looks fine. Having only played the first year plus of the Grand Campaign, I've not seen the other leaders yet, but some of those warriors should be replaced. Oh, also the totem poles ...

The others don't appear in the game. Watie was the only one to become a general. As it is, only Watie and Drew (both Cherokee) are included (Watie as a leader and a unit, Drew as a unit), Cooper commanded a regiment of Choctaw and Chickasaw, McIntosh commanded a Creek unit.

I wish I hadn't read this thread I will be obsessing over this now!

I know that Willliam Thomas had an independent CSA command in North Carolina (Thomas' Legion) of Eastern Band Cherokee and whites. They were officially under the Confederate Department of East Tennessee. I don't know what his official rank was though. After a scalping incident at Baptist Gap (which is 1 mile from my house :siffle during some of the fighting around cumberland Gap they mainly did guard duty, though.

One amusing incident was when the "bridge burners" were burning down several railroad bridges in East Tenneseee. Thomas' Legion were guarding the bridge at Strawberry Plains and out of boredom had started a stickball game (kind of like lacrosse). While they were playing the bridge got burned.

Don''t really know if the Legion shpold be added to the game for gameplay purposes but it would be cool for historical purposes.
