Little Bug. Not a big thing...but please

Hello,

two little bugs in the German language version.
Kills not this great game, but fixing should not be a great deal.

1. I lose the Game. So it says "Niederlage" -German for "defeat".
But in the top of the massagebox it´s shows "Stealmate" and thats for German "Patt" or German "unentschieden".

2. Loyalität Rebell 5% - Tory: 95%.
Is Tory a nickname for the Union? :D
Well, I fix "Tory" by my self. Found it in "LocalStrings_ACW.csv" line 10, row E.
But I have to do this fixing always after a update or trying a beta-patch.

Greetings

Looks like a localization error. It must be a hold over from Birth of America (AGEOD's American Revolution game) that never got properly localized for AACW, for "Tory" is a term referring to loyalists to the British Crown during the Revolutionary war.

The word should instead be "Union," or rather the German equivalent (I don't know what that would be, but I imagine you do :D ). Hopefully, since you've pointed this out, they can now make changes to the official localization.

Hi Gray_Lensman,

I´m sorry for the late answer.

Here we go:
The "Anti-Tory LocalStrings_ACW.csv" (LocalStrings ACW.rar)

And thats´s what I did: (Anti-Troy.jpg)
I changed Troy to Union.

Well that will kill bug No. 2.
I´m sure Bug No. 1 will also be found inside "LocalStrings_ACW.csv" but I don´t now were exactly.

I´m not a PC and Software expert.
I can hardly do more than find the power switch on my PC - ah, a little bit more.
But I´m not comfortable driving in files.

Greetings

Templer:

Thanks for the information and file. The LocalStrings fix is now permanently in place in the "official" database file, though you won't see the change in a patch until v1.12b (Late February earliest). For your helpful translation feedback, I gave you a little boost in a thing we call reputation. Instead of a little blue box below your name, you now have a little green box.
