A victory is a stalemate is a loss?

Sat Nov 01, 2008 12:16 pm

Version 1.11g

I am about to venture to the mysterious world of PBeM (hello Ayeshteni :D ) and we chose the Bull Run scenario for our first attempt so that we could check how things technically work. So of course I launched the game in hotseat and played the both sides as well as I could.

At the end there was the scoretables (please look at the attachments). USA won a solid victory but Confederates got a firm draw.

Err, huh? Is this WAD?

I don't know if its WAD or not, but I can only assume (if it isn't a bug) that it is due to the South and the North having different objectives.

Therefore the South's level of victory is based on their objectives tempered by the VP difference and the North's level of victory is based on their objectives tempered by the VP difference.

So it is therefore possibly for the difference in victory levels.

P.S. Will send the necessary files for our PBeM test to you shortly Jarkko!

Aye.

Hi Jarkko how did you get to play a hotseat game? Is there an option to do this?

Like Gray says above, it is pretty easy. Here is how I do it:

1) Select scenario, side etc.

2) Play your turn, then *save* (do *not* hit End Turn) and get back to main screen

3) Load game the game as the opponent side

4) Play the turn as the opponent, then save, and then hit End Turn.

The game notices it has saved orders for both sides and processes the turn with them, without the AI :)

Cheers Gray and Jarkko. I will give that a go. My eldest son has always wanted to play against me and now he can. :niark:
