Glitch?

I won a battle (quite an upset actually about 2 leaderless militia in a fort vs. sir henry clinton (i think) with about 3 regiments and a supply) while being besieged as AME in the 1755 campaign. However, without another battle, my small army (2 militia garrison) was removed from the board and the nasty redcoats had my city....

is there any logical reason for this? the info message said "we have won a battle against great britain" blah blah blah or whatever it says, and no other message was given speaking of another battle. it was not the end of the year, so i don't think my militia would just give up and leave and it was in like, virginia area and i think we had roughly 80% control...

any input?
i have moved on in my campaign, so it might be hard for me to find the specifics (would it be in one of the save game folders somewhere?), but it has continued to bother me

I would need a save to understand the situation... BoA backup the last 12 turns, so if you don't have played a full year, your turn is still there. If this is the case, wrap me the game folder you are playing, and tell me at which turn and where the potential problem occured.

i have located the save game files, how do i get them opened in-game to find the proper turn?

You have to restore it manually... so don't worry if you are unsure of the process, zip me the whole save game, and just tell me where it happened, and I will check it myself: support@ageod.com

It's probably a "victory" but you had no combat units left and the enemy had 1. The battle is still won, but your supply units evapourate.

Check the battle report, if your losses equal your starting combat units, then you're supplies/cannon will be lost.

I suspect something like that happened to me: playing the French-Indian war campaign as the British, I sent a (small) army to defend my sieged Oswego. The report said I lost the battle fought against the sieging force, but Oswego is still mine, and I see my army and no enemy in the region. I'm at work now, I don't remember the battle report, but I could check the file this evening. Could it be like Dinsdale sais? And if so, why should such a battle be reported as lost?

1.06.1 will tell you that you loose if you suffered +50% losses compared to the enemy.

1.07 has another test to better understand the situation.

I couldn't resist playing longer, Pocus, thus I believe the file is gone...

Looking back at it, as it has happened again, I think what happened is that the game told me I won, but all of my units were lost (a pyrrhic victory). I really just figured out how to read the battle report.
