Beautiful Map

I know its been stated before but the map is stunning. In fact, I made a shrunk down version my desktop at work.
But everytime I look at it, I can't help but wonder what a map like this of Europe would look like. Say, in the time of Napoleon, for example.
Just a thought...

The map is wonderful ... just goes to show that you can have a wargame look beautiful while being wonderfully functional! Take that hexes!!

how about a map of Mars in 1889 with european (and american!) colonies, aether ships and evil martians?
(no its not a disclosure of secret projects, just dreaming awake about one of the possibility of the engine)

I presume that there will be no difference (in terms of the final result) between the small 1.04 map patch which will soon be released and last week's mega map patch of 175Mb, correct?
I ask, since I already applied last week's mega map patch.

hi pocus......that was a nice try......i make a lot of the same mistakes in trying to go from english to french, not that i have a lot of opportunities to do that
......at any rate, the idiom is "day dreaming"......sill lovin' this game

Well, you can't please everyone...
The entire scenario plays out on one of the ugliest maps ever conceived in a video game
Dull game, high learning curve, ugly graphics, and an all around boring experience.

I wished I could look into the brain of certain individuals. This guy most have a lot of dissconected wires or maybe he only had a bad day.

And the funniest part it´s that he finally gave BoA an 70% !?!?
Don't worry AGEOD, this guy have a problem...
he put and 86% to Paradox's Dimplomacy... really:

Obviously one of those reviewers who thinks that if it isn't 3D it must be rubbish.

The problem some game review sites have their RPG or FPS reviewers look over strategy game like BoA and that is why you sometimes get lower scores for what is certainly an awesome strategy game. The reviewer may claim to like a good strategy game, but maybe he's been playing Obilivion for the last two weeks and then has to switch to a strategy game.

I suspect he's just a kid. Lashing out in frustration at anyone who might enjoy this "steep learning curve" game he failed to understand, and calling them names, is a child like reaction.

Hi, just joined from UK, where are these patches to be had? I only have the downloaded game as yet, I'm waiting for the boxed disk +manual. So far I have only dabbled in the game and like what I've seen so far!
My thing has been board gaming since the days of SPI and Avalon Hill etc and I haven't done much in computer gaming yet, I have never done any PBEM gaming unless one counts Chess which I played through snail mail and then e-mail.
Any tips, help advice will be greatly appreciated too.
