I was able to migrate BoA v 1.12a to a Win 7 64 bit laptop. No apparent problems so far.
I hope everyone is well. I have had more fun with this game down through the years. It is astonishing to me. I never thought this would happen.

Did you ever upgrade to BOA 2? Just wondering which you preferred

I am no longer qualified to answer that question. During my experience with BoA, the developers allowed us to use modding tools on the various games. I did so to great extent over the years. This modding greatly enhanced my overall experience with the game. But I chose to mod BoA rather than BoA2.
For some reason, I thought BoA to be a more pure wargame, with nicer graphics. The design and artwork was outstanding, and the software as of v 1.12a impelmented most all of its features. I did replace all of the scripts, and other things like the weather sub-system.

Just another system. This time a 64 bit Win 7 desktop system. I ported BoA over and it runs perfectly there too. So, I will get another 5 years or more with BoA. Since Ageod stopped updating this game long ago, I could mod away without any worry that a future update would mess with the mods.

Just thought I would stop by again. As I mentioned in the previous post, I had picked up a Win 7 Pro desktop system. This was really a Dell low end system that makes no noise and creates zero heat. But you really cannot do software with intense graphics. Nevertheless, it runs BoA very well. It is amazing, but I never thought I would say this, but after 8 years of messin with BoA, it proved to be the most successful, and best computer game ever.

It works on Windows 8.1 too, and I would imagine on 10 as well. I only play on laptops so the fact it runs OK is good for me; the more recent AGEOD games just take too long for turn resolution for me even though I want to like them.

How about making this game a free download AGEOD ?
A taster for those who won't try games because they are for kids and think all I do is play Candy Crush if I say I play games on the PC.

I believe BOA is already a free download. At least it was in the old Ageod shop
