Weather and Combat

Goodaye,

I'm interested to know what effect weather has on combat. I see from the FAQ that it affects the initial range of engagement (or maximum range).

Are you (admin) able to expand on that a little (eg. does mud decrease the range?) and are there any other effects that weather has on combat?

Cheers,

Goodaye,

I've downloaded and checked your 'terrain_BOA9.xls' matrix and partially answered my own questions.

Each terrain & weather combination in the matrix has values for 'Max range' & 'range_mod'. I've figured out (correctly?) that when the roll for the intial range of a combat is made that the range_mod is applied to the result (eg. -1) and that the modified range must be equal to or less than the 'Max range' specified in the matrix.

I'm still curious, however, if weather has any other effects on combat apart from the range calculation.

Cheers,

yes, it affects frontage in some case and offensive fire/defensive fire.
