Winter in the game.

Mon Mar 24, 2008 4:48 pm

I purchased the game a few weeks ago and have been very impressed!
The AI seems good except for winter where it loves to march around and let it's troops melt away. I know this has been mentioned before but I thought I'd reinforce this as BoA2 is being developed. Fixing that issue would a huge improvement.
My question is will any of the AI adjustments I can do make a difference in this issue? I have not changed aggression from normal as I felt that a more aggressive AI would make the winter issue even worse. I have given the AI a slight advantage in fog of war.
Thanks for any input.

I've noticed that too.

Armies of that era would enter their winter quarters, await the 'campaign' weather of middle-late spring.

Currently, mid January of 1778, the British Army is reeking havoc in middle NY, quite frozen and snow covered.

AgeOD's policy has always been to retroactively patch all their games using the same engine with the discovery of new fixes applied to the new ones. :)

That's why BOA2 is on the very top of my purchase list and i'm awaiting quite impatiently. :p leure:
