Re: Locked units and MTSG

By neighbour I mean units in adjacent provinces. My PBEM campaign is nearing the moment when my opponent gets hit by mutinies, and I'm trying to plan ahead. I've never played this far and thus am wondering how isolated stacks I'll be fighting when the mutinies hit.

Re: Locked units and MTSG

But if the locked unit was inside a fort/city (as the German named divisions by default are) then it isn't attacked until there is an assault, is it?

Locked units and MTSG

Am I correct in assuming that locked units are unable to help their neighbours in battle?

Re: Eating more than Potatoes

Unfortunately it seems that it's only possible to stop it from increasing. IMHO especially due to this the whole mechanic is really badly (and unfairly) designed. Here's hoping that the second title in the new engine will be WW1! With some improvements TEAW would be a wonderful game instead of being...

Re: Rasputin simply..disappears

The very last line in the save file reads: "Name=evt_RGDDIP_RASPUTIN Occurences=0 MaxOccurs=999" Should the "Occurences" line be at 1 instead of 0 for Rasputin to be displayed? Earlier lines in the file include the following entries: "Name=evt_nam_dip_Rasputin_Use Occurences...

Re: How did the game do?

For example the PLC is currently handled quite badly and very ahistorically. Additionally there are numerous glitches and bugs, varying from really small to smallish, IMHO. The diplomatic side is lacking and the campaign ends too soon. Just to name a few.

Nikel or anyone else; do you know whether the situation could be fixed simply by adding manually the relevant flag to the save file? If yes, I wonder what the flag is and what's the correct location within the file.

Tamas, thank you for the response and update. I'm very sorry to hear about the health issues, hopefully everything will turn out ok!

Good to know that the feedback will be noticed, I'll keep reporting then.

Rasputin simply..disappears

Has anyone else encountered the bug where Rasputin just disappears? I finally got the Czar forced on the Russians, and I think two turns after that Rasputin became available, I activated the event, his icon appeared in the off-map box, but after one or two turns he just vanished. The Russians didn't...

Re: When can we expect new patch?

I haven't encountered any game-breaking bugs, but I do think that movement speeds are a little low at the moment. The slow movement combined with the high amount of provinces (and month long turns) means that one can't achieve that much during the campaign season. I, and others, have listed and repo...

Re: TEAW or WOS ?

Personally I like TEAW quite a lot, although it feels that it could have been so much better. And, IMHO, the AI in TEAW is pretty clueless, and if you have any experience in AGEOD games, you should be able to beat it easily. TEAW is great fun in PBEM, even with all its shortcomings. WOS at the momen...

Re: Rebel alignment

Oh no, it is tied to the Russia (and other factions) NM. When NM reaches zero, revolution breaks out. I'm still trying to understand the mechanic here, as none of my games so far have lasted long enough for any revolutions to happen. For example the Russian revolution event specifically states that...

allan_boa wrote:Ah ! Thanks guys. So the answer is "two weeks" but some mods/scenario can change it into 1 week ?

Correct. I guess the main argument against shorter turns is the (high) amount of turns in games that last multiple years. But I agree with you that shorter turns would, in general, be better.

Re: Turn length 7 or 15 days ?

In some of the scenarios from the expansion the turn length is indeed 1 week. Also there's a mod made by Altaris that uses 1 week turns for the campaigning season in the grand campaign, but sadly the mod seems incomplete and hasn't been updated for a few years.

Re: Which replacements for captured units?

When you have captured an enemy unit, a new line should appear in your replacements screen for that faction. Typically you only have the option to purchase replacements for captured units. Not all captured units have the possibility of creating replacements. So unless you see a Russian line for hea...

I am not the best person for explaining the technical side of this game, but some thoughts and observations. Revolution in primarily triggered by low National Morale. At first the army rebels, locking many/most units every other turn. Then when NM reaches 0, your government is no more. Rebellion is...

Re: Poll. New engine first game.

I think AGEOD games are very well fit for 2-week turns. Even 1 month turn like in TYW is too long IMO. This is so true, especially during the campaigning season. There's a distinct lack of control with the longer turns. And games set in modern times, such as TEAW, should have at most week long turns.
