Not so. That is not usual, but "Kronstad" could be a good name at these times. All of my time period maps and books say 'Кронштадт' with Piter named 'Петроград' 1921 rebellion is referred to ...

I sure this is known, but navy city "Kronstadt" is missing last letter.

I also :mdr: seeing 'late november 1917' above December 1919 in Pravda and story on graphic.

(I have no problem really just wanting to get near 10 post)

Nikolay II didn't end the monarchy, he advocated to his son Alexi, but Alexi's sickness made him unfit so it was passed to Nikolay II's brother Mikhail, who was named Emperor Mikhail II, but he refused the crown and it was he who signed away the monarchy and ended it.

Kev_uk Yes we used a different calendar. We were already in process of changing to western calendar but most of Russian Empire had not changed yet. We had on official documents after date saying "old calender" or "new calender" depending on the date used. Even into 20th. ERISS It is national holida...
