Re: Replacing Army Commanders

Well the reason for relieving an Army CO is that I'm already at the max number of Armies, and I would like to free some up for better 3 Star generals. It seems to me it would be worse to replace Banks right away with a lower seniority guy if I could instead relief him by Grant who has a higher senio...

Replacing Army Commanders

As the tooltip is rather unclear for my intentions I would like to know exactly when I have to pay the penalties. It's obviously that NM & VP have to be paid if the Army CO is just dismissed. But currently I have to many Armies and would like to shrink their numbers. I thought about using an exi...

Re: Militia / Volunteer retain Home Area after training

It's scenario 4 the Full 2 Theater campaign. The units are the normal Volunteers that can be build in all states. Here a picture of a Kentucky Volunteer unit after training, no home state, the picture in the stack panel is normal and it is listed a conscript in the inspection panel. http://i.imgur.c...

Re: Hits from winter weather outside of friendly structure?

Can the posture of the stack(offensive/defensive) have impact on what is suffered by weather?
And as attrition is mentioned, does the posture have impact on hits taken by attrition?

Hits from winter weather outside of friendly structure?

I guess I misinterpret something here but just to make sure, will forces outside of a friendly structure take hits from weather in harsh winter weather(snow, deep cold, etc.?

Militia / Volunteer retain Home Area after training

Does anyone have a clue why Kentucky Militia / Volunteer train up to line infantry that has no home area while others(Massachusetts) train up but retain their home area.
Is it WAD or a bug?

Draft Riots events

Not sure how they are supposed to work but: - The event for New England covers only the states of Connecticut, Massachusetts & Rhode Island. Were New Hampshire, Maine and Vermont left out purposely? If so the event text and/or title should indicate this - The event for New York seems to be bugge...

Re: Promoting generals in the same turn without passing over?

Mh, what to do with those generals that you are forced to pass over?
I got some 2 stars I want to promote but Edwin Sumner has to be passed over, although his seniority is at 1 I still can't promote him what likely means I will never be able to promote him.

Re: Colored Militia pictures

Well some turns back, must have been late 62 or early 63, there was an event that informed me that I could now form colored militia units. I formed some because they aren't bound to a specific state. I have Siegel in that area and did let him train up many units and also these colored militias. Mayb...

Colored Militia pictures

Hi
Something seems wrong here.
I had some colored militia units that upgraded to line infantry but afterwards their pictures on the various spots seem wrong.
I took some screenshots and as you can see the pictures do not really fit to the term colored.
Is that supposed to be so or an error?

Re: Artillery: In or Out?

In case some day the brigades to get an overhaul let me note that the Brigade pictures that come up should get adjusted too. It's a minor hassle that you get the picture of a conscription brigade while all units are trained and so should show a normal brigade picture, but this goes as far as trained...

Re: Artillery: In or Out?

The talk about horses indicate that horses could/should also be a resource. Besides WS the horses would also limit the amount of artillery, cavalry forces, supply wagons etc.. Personally I would love to see the whole resource thing be much more detailed to mirror exactly what resources the North &am...

Re: Artillery: In or Out?

All these points sound very fine and I would like to see them implemented.
They are without a doubt a try worth, even if the players have a little more "work" to do.

Iron Works add WS while still under construction?

Hi Maybe I'm reading something wrong here, but afaik the Union starts with structures into the War that add about 177 WS each turn. In the past several turns I started to construct all possible Iron Works and the pop-up text mentions that they give war supply once their construction is complete. Alt...

Promoting generals in the same turn without passing over?

Hi I wonder if it's possible to promote multiple generals in the same turn without running the risk of passing one over. I got 2 generals(Meade & Doubleday) and the pop-up for Doubleday mentions that his promotion would pass over Meade, but what if I promote Meade in the same turn? Would he stil...

Re: Artillery: In or Out?

BigDuke66 ---aren't you missing a '6'? ;) I'm desperately working to achieve the 3rd 6. :innocent: I have not yet chosen because I wonder how the brigade structure changed over the war, I have the impression that the early very mixed brigades later disappeared and single type brigades were formed. ...

Re: How useful is the light artillery?

Something should be done here. I don't mind that 6 pounders do not upgrade, but why am I stuck building them within my brigades for the rest of the war? AFAIk the were used 61-62 and some were even produced at that time but in 63 they seem to be gone. At least on a Union OOB for Gettysburg I do not ...

Hi I didn't finish a turn yesterday, so I saved it and loaded it today. I know exactly that I did not see some informations and that others were different.
