Good countries for beginner?

I was playing Belgium but I don't particularly like not being able to carry out the higher level colonial actions. Like colonial buildings and military outposts etc... I really like to play as a country that isn't all-powerful at first and then be able to build myself up to become all-powerful. I su...

How do you change power projection?

Playing as Belgium don't I need to be able to up my projection level in order to be able to build the colonial buildings and actually claim colonies right? Atm in the beginning all I can do is the basic stuff I cannot actually get the protectorate decision for example. How do I get that decision? If...

I have gotten through the tutorials and combined with my intrinsic knowledge of other Ageod games I'm pretty sure I have a good grasp on things, good enough to start playing now. Can you guys give me a recommendation on a good place to start the campaign? There's a bunch of options obviously I have ...

I appreciate it, its not appreciated when I make a post like that and someone puts in a negative reply. After reading into the big manual I have decided that I will put in the time and I am very excited to play this game. Its extremely deep and while I certainly do find the gui a jarring change it's...

So I would REALLY like to learn to play this.....

The interface is so different from other Ageod games....very jarring which really puts me off when I play RUS or CWII and then try this out. I have family who fought in The Great War on both sides so it's a topic I already am invested in and also I am an aspiring P.h.D. lol not to mention that a cou...

Haha, I had the same problem. I'm fairly competent in geography in general, but the mass that is Russia is a tough bird to tackle. The Siberian Whites need to try to concentrate along the Volga. Kazan, Ufa, and Samara are probably priority number 1 after you clean up the rear area insurrectionaries...

Tips and General Strategy Advice for Whites

What I need is advice on strategy. After getting quite a lot of time in with civil war II I'm pretty competent now. My problem is that i never read that one book I have on this topic. Now history is one thing but what's really a setback is my almost complete lack of knowledge about Russian geography...

Greetings from the frozen tundra!

Not Green Bay for you (American) football fans out there. I greet you as a newcomer to the forum. It was back in ancient times, perhaps two years ago, that I originally created my forum account. Even though it was Birth of America that holds the distinction of being my first Ageod title I played, AA...

I used to live in Frederick, decades ago. Didn't get to the battlefield (had been to Gettysburg many times) at Antietam Creek until ten years ago. "Boonies?" - I can be in Sharpsburg in 90 minutes from the Beltway, I would say. Then again, I'm a country boy at heart. An interesting drive is from Ha...

In-game, secession actually helps the Union more than the Confederates, because a neutral KY provides a perfect shield. Supposedly, if KY does not secceed, then it should flip to the Union around Mar-Apr 1862 (IIRC, starting in March a 50% chance each turn) In reality, there is no earthly way Kentu...

Why when I enable divisional command does my general become 1-0-0?

Playing as Union as soon as I can put divisions together the vast and overwhelming majority of generals (who are 3-1-1) turn into 1-0-0 when i click the enable divisional command?!

So uh....yea what gives?

Can someone please explain how Kentucky chooses sides?

I don't get it at all, half the time when the Camp Dick Robinson event fires then KY secedes instantly, so that I can't do anything at all since all this happens during the turn processing!! :cursing:  :8o: I'm very well versed in Civil War history, heck I am probably going to take that for my ...

Oh and starting the campaign from later in the war is extremely unappealing for me, I am one of those guys who likes to build the whole war machine up himself not take over one that someone else already did. Ignore the west. Blow up every depot that you don't absolutely need east of Pennsylvania. Hold a line of port cities on the Missouri and Ohio rivers from St. Louis to Pittsburg. Garrison the cities with an entrenched Division each. Let your cavalry run down any partisans. Your riverine fleet should...

Im having some trouble with my USA strategy, usually the Continental Army falls apart after the British conquer the countryside.
