I got the USA in October of 1916. But it took a little for the existing units to unlock and it took even longer for all the units I bought. Historically the US Army was not ready to fight when they entered the war. First they had to study with the French and British armies in the Field as well as w...

After going to bed I realised that EAW style cavalry divisions (currently) use only two cavalry elements. So it would have to be 300 men/horses per hit to get to an approximatly correct manpower of 4800 cavalrymen per division... See how this game (to be honest any game research) even haunts me in s...

Is this WAD? The German Cav division seems in game to consist of about 900 men and a gun unit. I think a German cavalry division in '14 was 4300 men in 3 cav brigades and a small gun unit with only 12 - 75mm guns. Those are flavour numbers which will have to be corrected eventually (that's the case...

@caranorn I haven't found anything regarding the number of rifles, only the type that was used at the outbreak of the war: Mauser model 1889. As for the troop numbers, I gave these earlier: The field army had 117.000 men by the beginning of august. The army consisted of 85.000 infantry troops. The ...

The sweeping of mines should only be successful if you control the corresponding land area, most important in BELGIUM, even after controlling the Belgian Coast the Germans cannot use the NAVAL Dockyards. Also to an extent this can simulate the 'GALLIPOLI' campaign, initial losses will be high to mi...

Russians lost at Stallupon to a single German Corps 'I' Corps, having nearly 4:1 superiority ('I' Corps on German Side vs 2 Corps + 1 Cavalry Division in Russian Side); this gave the Germans some over-confidence and they attacked again at Gumbinnen, stupidly as German Artillery nearly ended up dest...
