Re: 1.04.5 not available for Gamersgate or Paradox PON owners

I'm beginning to think that whichever so and so at Matrix put together this blacklist/whitelist of PON serial numbers didn't ask Gamersgate for their serials because they thought the Gamersgate numbers were included in those from Paradox when in fact Gamersgate has been separate since about 2009. No...

Re: 1.04.5 not available for Gamersgate or Paradox PON owners

1. Paradox didn't fail to hand over keys; they handed over all the data they had. Paradox separated from Gamersgate in about 2009. 2. Your install is persona suspecta because you are effectively part of the home team and also all the development work you have done (and kudos for that, and your AARs)...

Re: 1.04.5 not available for Gamersgate or Paradox PON owners

This is what Slitherine support said to me: "We can only support keys bought directly from AGEOD or from the Slitherine or Matrix shops. We are sorry for this. Kind Regards, Paulo Costa The Slitherine Group" In other words if you have a Paradox, Gamersgate or other version with a serial nu...

Re: 1.04.5 not available for Gamersgate or Paradox PON owners

There is actually good grounds for complaint. PON patches up to 1.04 would work on all versions of the game whether they were Matrix, Paradox, Gamersgate. So they can produce a patch and allow it to run on any version of PON if they want to. 1.04.5 up until a while ago would check whether your seria...

Re: 1.04.5 not available for Gamersgate or Paradox PON owners

This from Pocus a while ago: " Dear gents, Will be posted here the latest build of PON, past official 1.04. This will be a rather heavy archive, because baring a few configurations files that are generated automatically, plus your private and personal settings file, you get almost a full setup....

Re: Error Accessing Game in Windows 10

would help if you supplied more details. Mine is a version from GG etc, and is perfectly stable. Your best option is to open a help ticket on the matrix forums with the data they ask for I did. They're not supporting the GG purchased version anymore. Had to plunk down for a new copy through Matrix/...

1.04.5 not available for Gamersgate or Paradox PON owners

I'm not impressed by this change of policy by Matrix. Up to a few months ago all patches and betas to about 1.04 seemed available to owners of PON who bought through Gamersgate or Paradox or had boxed copies from them. Now the game won't update to 1.04.5 and Matrix are saying tough. Here are two rep...

Re: Is the 1.4 or 1.45 patch all inclusive?

Same issue. Gamersgate version, can't start the grand campaign after the latest patch. Slitherine/Matrix kindly refused my kind request for a new serial (I provided them with proof of purchase, purchase order and confirmation). Gamersgate themselves have so far not answered me. What a bummer. I hav...

Re: A useful House Agreement

Yes, I like it because so many of the places are local - rather like CW2 must be for US residents. I too make house rules for games where there are odd things. One of my favourite games is still the original Combat Mission - but the AI troops have a tendency to do human wave suicide missions to get ...

The disappearance of the screenshots should serve as a reminder not to store your stuff on the web or the cloud. The narwhal/loki aars were great.

This thread did get me to have a quick play at the 4 emperors too. AJE is a great series. Time to make sure you have some installable back ups.

Sydnam or Sydenham?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sydnam_Poyntz

There is a place in south London called Sydenham.

There is a pub called the Poyntz Arms in West Molesey - a couple of miles from Hampton Court.

But some are more republican than others. I just got back from Catalonia thanks to Ryanair very generously not cancelling my flight. I think the government have played this referendum wrong. They will provoke more people to vote than otherwise would have done. Anyway, an excuse to fire this game up ...

Please don't give the game's secrets away. I enjoyed finding a decision I had overlooked on earlier plays. It'll become like other games where they say "wait for the "XXX" event, then declare war on Y". Fortunately I only read part of your post before realising what was happening...

Re: Civil War statues

In England some people are calling for the removal of Nelson's column.

I think that is an insult to Nelson Mandela who could have changed the Nelson bit of his name if it actually offended him.

The world is getting dafter.

I just tried it a couple of times - only defending Floyd - all units on HAAC. There were three battles in the 15 days, confederates won the first two, lost the third. The next turn the confederates were all across the river but so were the Federals. Now I seem to recall that Jomini, among others, di...

Me too.

I have a DVD - "Military Strategies II" with PON on it.

First attempt did the update but it wouldn't work - flashing screens and freeze on selecting a scenario.

So, I uninstalled, and now it won't accept the serial number from the DVD .
