I think what he's asking is pretty simple guys. I think what you are seeing is the flashing of your selected unit. if you give 3 different units mover orders from territory x to z you will see 3 white lines on your screen. If one of those white lines is flashing, then that is the unit you currently ...

I am a HUGE customer for both paradox and ageod. I have most of the games from both (well, at least all of the major ones like ACW, HOI, Vicky, EU...) and I have to say that paradox is much more hit or miss with their games, but when they hit, man do they hit. I actually really liked Vicky 1 and I p...

Diplomacy

Hello everybody, I was wondering if anyone knows anything about how the diplomacy is going to work in this game? This type of game seems WAY different from any of AGEOD's other games. In AACW, ROP, WW1 and BOA you start at war and the only "diplomacy" that you have is the possibility of bringing for...

Hey everybody, I had a thought the other day about something that I think would be entertaining to add into the game, and I know that AACW is done so I guess this is a suggestion for the future AACW 2. So without further ado let me get to my idea: As things stand now there are fixed unlock times for...

Austia-Hungary Strategy

This may have been discussed elsewhere, but I was wondering what players do as AH. I tend to focus on knocking out Serbia, which is a pretty tough nut to crack, and just sit on defense against Italy and Russia. Russia seems to have WAY more units than I do no matter what warplan they use. I can norm...

Yes, you can definitely play one country by itself in the 4 player scenario. Your allies do okay and it lets you learn the basics. In my first game I played as Austro-Hungary and let the AI control Germany and it worked out alright. Russia is a good choice as well, because it lets you focus on thing...

Florida Keys

Is there any rationale for a Confederate attack on the Florida Key forts? It seems like it wouldn't be too hard to surprise the Union player by building some naval transports and land a force to take them. Would you be able to supply a garrison force at the forts as the confederacy? Would the forts ...

1) How many armies should I have? I think I created 4 in my first game, one in the west, 2 in the middle, 1 out east. Or does it simply depend on how many decent 3 star generals you have? How many do most people typically do? A: This is really up to you, I normally aim to have about 3 as the Confede...

I usually go with full interception or no interception at all. With the interception option my goal is to try and catch part of my enemies force with my full force while still receiving defensive bonuses. This is extremely valuable to me and I use it all the time. Sending part of your force to inter...

I'm no expert, but I tend to feel like the CSA is trying not to LOSE the fight, while the USA has to WIN the fight. Therefore I normally play pretty conservatively in the east. In the west I aim to hang on to Springfield Missouri, which isn't too difficult, and in the far west I build a force in Tex...

Thanks for posting this thread, I was confused as heck as well. One question doesn't seem to have been answered, or at least not answered clearly. In response to the original post, isn't part of the fun NOT knowing exactly what's going to happen. A little mystery is good in a game. Besides, the rebels have enough brilliant generals that they can afford to not promote a couple, so you can just be cautious with generals you're not familiar with.

AACW match, new player

Hey everybody. I'm looking to begin a match on AACW, but I've never done one before. I'm willing to host, but I'd prefer letting someone else host who knows what they're doing. I'll play either side and I don't have any big preferences on the rules we use. My email is rchrdvinson@yahoo.com . I can p...
