Inactive commander represents someone who is unsure or vacillating. He's giving subpar orders.

I don't consider it gamey to split, because if you get caught, you will be at least partailly wrecked.

I actually like a 20-30$ price point for a game that is still being patched. 10-20 once support is ceased. Niche wargames can't survive at the steam price, and I won't buy games at the 40$+ price that Matrix/Slitherine keep all their titles.

Since this game uses the "simple" AGEOD supply model, it can't really simulate supply lines unfortunately. The best you can do is require supply wagon shuffling, which could get tedious fast.

Without looking at the exact units, you have 3 different nationality units commanded by a general that isn't any of the other 3 nationalities. Units commanded by a leader without a multinational ability take 4 times the CP I think. And all unled units have a penalty. I haven't looked at AJE lately, ...

Can we get a better wounding system in AACW2. Currently, leaders only get wounded when all their troops get shot from under them. First, it should happen more often than that. Second, it should have the possibility to affect ratings. An amputated or scarred trait that gets added after a wound could ...

Yeah, I don't use siege tactics in any AGE game right now. It just doesn't work for the most part. Bring all the arty you can find, breach, and clear. My big problem with sieges is besieged units recovering hits while under siege (this is really bad in AJE, what with frequency of sieges and the gene...

Why does Forest not deserve a CP penalty? He rarely commanded large forces iirc. He was a raider and did his own thing more than most. He deserves lots of positive stats and traits, but a CP penalty would be within reason. Bragg commanded large forces, but did so very poorly for the most part. He at...

They used to charge 40$+ for their games too didn't they? I payed 40$ for RUS. It's pretty much gone from $40+ and free scenarios to 20$ and charged scenarios. Not a huge change, but I'd rather have all the BOR and AJE scenarios under 1 roof as well.

It's a general problem with support units in multiple AGE games. (Confirmed in RUS, RoP, and AJE) It's not overwhlemingly common, but enough to annoy me at some point in all of those games so far.

Go to your game steam library, right click on RoP, and go to properties. Hit the update tab and select "do not automatically update this game". Install patch 1.04 manually into wherever your RoP game is. If you don't turn off auto update, then steam overwrites 1.04 with its 1.03 version.

Ahh, I'd been trying to find that one. I found it disconcerting that one of the starting army commanders was a generic. Alas, I only speak English and am apparently not a very talented internet sleuth.
