Leader "Melds" with Unit

Here is a bug I have seen before. It happened my last PBEM as Reds, as a matter of fact. Latest steam version. Budenny "melded" into a unit in his stack during combat. Now the same thing has happened to Blucher in another PBEM. Here is a screenshot after a recent combat phase where a stack...

Re: Question on White Military Dictatorship Event

If you plan to eventually make this quick fix into a regular update, would also suggest looking at several balancing possibilities raised in this thread: http://www.ageod-forum.com/viewtopic.php?f=293&t=30668 One area I would suggest would be to make the Far East war more competitive. Right now,...

Just curious whether any of these changes made it into RUS Gold?

Re: RUS 2?

So it goes againt the idea of using the TEaW map (and I am not very fond of letting down the East, even to spread revolution to the West). Too bad the WON map (and I assume the WSS map) don't go past the Urals. I would assume Russia east of the Urals is about two more WON-size maps. Well, it's stil...

Re: RUS 2?

RUS Gold (Davaï) is already much improved from original RUS...no plans for RUS2 (if by that you mean with new interface like CW2) so far. The existing game is excellent. It would just seem a shame to not take things to the next level and support a RUS 2 which would take up a number of great suggest...

Re: RoP nostalgia

I am hoping that after WSS is out - and hopefully a great success - AGEOD will return to the prospect of making a WON two-player campaign, perhaps as an expansion. But if they want to start from scratch, it can be WON 2.

Sharpshooters

A question. As Ottomans, I've played the Sharpshooters decision card, which says it enables production of sharpshooter units. However, none have appeared as possible builds. Am I missing something?

Question on Czechs

I have a question on the Czechs. According to the events, they begin departing Russia in 1919. However in several PBEM's as Reds, I have noticed many Czechs, especially Czech leaders, seem to stick around anyway. In a game I am in right now, I just destroyed a bunch of Czech units near Samara and it...

Re: Question on White Military Dictatorship Event

I haven't tested this yet, but will in the next PBEM. I looked at the Read Me and I had one question. Although the Whites get 4 stars now instead of 9 - which I think is better balanced - does it effect still all White and White Allies (e.g. Poles, Balts, Caucasus)? It is more a logic issue. Admira...

I have to say, I have bought almost every AGEOD game and RUS is one of them best, if not THE best AGEOD game. I am wondering if there are any plans for a RUS 2?

Re: Question on White Military Dictatorship Event

I have seen Red Militia auto-upgrade if they gain stars through combat. Maybe this is the code from CW2 or ACW where they can auto-upgrade if they gain stars, and this was imported into the code of RUS?

Re: Question on White Military Dictatorship Event

If confirmed, the PBEM Red players will have to very carefully not let the Eastern Whites hold Omsk too long after they are able to switch to a Military dictatorship (untill some new volunteers and patch show up). I've thought about that, but the only way to really do that is to artificially hold o...

Re: Question on White Military Dictatorship Event

Thanks for the replies. One of the reasons I'd asked was because my sense remains that the experience boosts of the White Dictatorship event need some balancing. In a current PBEM, the Whites lost the Komuch in late 1919 and declared dictatorship. Over the course of the next nine turns, as each Whit...

Leader Seniority and Combat Stacks

I have noticed something that is a bit frustrating, but I think is particularly a problem with RUS. Here is an example from PBEM: I have a stack of Red Army with several two-stars. I put the less skilled two-stars into divisions to command them. The best two star I make the Army Commander. The less ...

Re: Replacement Issue/Bug?

Yes, on CW2 the update on Steam to 1.0.6.1 seems to be the problem. Similar issue with latest Steam version of EAW. I had a PBEM with EAW and we had to restart by re-installing with an older version.

Re: Replacement Issue/Bug?

Yes, 1.0.6.1, which is the latest version on Steam, seems to be the problem. I believe the same issue plagues EAW - in a previous PBEM we had to roll back to a prior patch to eliminate the issue.

Yes, can confirm this bug in CW2 steam version, which makes it unplayable IMO. Same thing happened with EAW.

This is really sad. AGEOD puts out products with such promise, but falters in quality control.

Re: España 1936 1.02 Official Patch. Oct 2016

So as I read the patch notes, no changes affecting the NM levels? I had hoped something would be included. I forgot to add that, but yes, i changed the political cost for units, so you still lose NM, but less. In a game i'm playing i have 137 NM but it has started to increase in a huge way just the...

Re: España 1936 1.02 Official Patch. Oct 2016

no changes affecting the NM levels? Maybe by limiting the building of units and redeployments, the nationalist stack of doom strategy is less easy to do. Maybe Leibst don't want to change the game too much at once, he may want deeper tests with, and then he's not against a next patch if needed. The...

Yes, if you give up Donelson and Nashville then Corinth becomes the likely next target. However, if your defense is centered around Memphis, you could have a corps in both Memphis and Corinth, with an army between them in Hardeman, supporting both regions. I feel that setup works pretty good, I've ...

Ah, thanks for the further explanation of what Gray Fox said. In any case, a bad result and a good thing to know to avoid next time. On holding at Memphis, doesn't that open you up to getting pinned and trapped against the Mississippi? The problem seems to me that unless you can hold Fort Donelson, ...

Entente Use of Japanese in PBEM

A question - the game doesn't place any hard coded limits on where the Japanese army and navy can operate once they join the Entente. This is generally true for all the units on either side in the game. In the past, I have generally adopted a self-imposed house rule to keep all of them in the Pacifi...

Solution: design a new WON off the Wars of Succession model...and call it WON 2. It will hurt to give up - for now - on the vast potentials of original WON (if they'd worked). But it will be a successful move commercially. A WON 2 playing off their original "easy to play hard to master" approach to ...
