I'm not very far into the game, still in fall 1936, but I'm having severe issues generating enough WSU to cover the needs of the Nationalist army. I've yet to build any units beyond the options deploying African forces, and I don't imagine myself doing so anytime soon given the WSU constraint. I ca...

To conquer fortresses In Napoleon's Campaigns, in Rise of Prussia and in the two games to the American Civil War anyway, you have to take forts, or even defend. Is there something like in España 1936? Forts? As you may know, by this time fortifications were pretty much useless due to more powerful ...

Scott, You ask really direct and pointed questions. You must have a good understanding of the game. One thing I like about determining missions is that the victory conditions provide nice targets to think about and attempt to take, but the game rewards the strategy of 'defence of posts,' that is tak...

I am so glad you have found this game. I too loved the AH 1776 game. You will find WiA or BoA2 is an excellent computer extension of this game. The key to running in Windows 8 is to always run as an administrator. The default is to not allow permissions needed for game routines to work, but all these games run just fine as an administrator.

Often this is caused by zone of control issues. You will note this by seeing all the red regions when you click on a stack. Revisiting 1775

The Grand Campaign for 1775 is a nice challenge. I am engaged a couple of games exploring this campaign.
French are strong to start. British as slow and weak yet growing. Nice issues to deal with.

My recommendation for players looking for a limited scenario with lots of complexity.
