Leader Roster

In AACW there was an easy way to sort through your leaders - which was awesome, because how else could you organize all of them?

Is there a way to do that in CW2? For the life of me I cannot find a similar list.

Game Setting Questions

I know most of the settings from AACW but there are some new ones for this one: Extended Pool: What have been people's experience playing with this? Specifically in a PBEM game? Traffic Penalty: What is it and what are the different setting levels (the tool tip doesn't change ...

Good modding guides?

Are there any good modding guides out there? I'm looking for guides on "simple" things, like adding and modifying leaders. Thanks!

New Player Guide

Hello! I played ACW some, but now I want to jump in to this. Are there any guides to general strategy and game play? I know there is the manual, but with six patches out, I imagine some of the manual is out-of-date. Thanks!

Odd debugging tool on the screen

I have no idea why this is on the screen, and I cannot figure out how to get rid of it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Ideally the Northern blockade should be limited to captured cities and any brown water blockade the USN can hold onto. Meanwhile the CSA should be able use the shipping box and the USA should have to run the new British/French blockade to get outside supplies.

How to break the Union Blockade with FI triggered

So FI went off in my current PBEM and my opponent has tried to break my blockade by sending the British fleet into the blockade boxes. This does not seem to be having any effect. Not to help my opponent too much... :p oke: But what is the best (or at least some other strategies) to break the blockad...

So does this mean the naval game in ACW2 is getting revamped? That we'll be able to build a more diverse river fleet than at present?

But at strategic 2 even when active there is a 50-50 chance of going inactive. That will not allow for any strategic planning, because you have to plan that you will go inactive right in the middle of your strategic move. Additionally your one or two windows of activity per year will be randomly di...

lastly, a more detailed/scrollable battle report window. Maybe with tabs for "leaders", "forces", combat rounds/casualties, modifiers, etc. And newer rules for what constitutes "victories" or "defeats". I've been whupped in several (most, honestly) battles, but always wound up with my forces in con...

I use both paper and geographic building as the Union. For instance I'll build an entire division in New England. Or for the Trans Miss I'll build in Iowa, Kansas, Missouri (with some art from IL). For the West (west) IL and WI, for the West (East) OH, MI, & KY. For the East, all of the other states...

The only problem with that I can see is political appointments. There were many who got promoted because of their political affiliations and that was reflected in the war. I hope there is a way to preserve that because it would be terribly unrealistic to simply promote or not for every general. I w...

I am currently in a PBEM where FI just occurred. That being said, FI needs to be fixed. All of the Mexican forces come with exactly two generals. Both 3* who are seniority 1 & 2. Mexico also comes with one HQ, so the first guy gets an army, and then the second guy just drags down my NM and VP's ever...

Ok, so no brigade builder/individual regiment construction option. So how about this: 1. Can you build forts anywhere now? I never understood the need to build them only in regions with original structures. 2. Can the building of a fort at least leave you a battery of fort guns? I still don't know w...

Recruiting regiments and then grouping them into brigades on game map adds to micromanagement, and that is not a good thing. On a contrary, recruiting brigades with their historic names adds to the flavor of the game. How exactly is grouping individual regiments together into Brigades (which only r...

The number of troops that participate is based on "frontage". You get the most troops engaged in clear terrain in clear weather, with a great general (Lee or Grant). As to which is better, if the odds are too heavily stacked against you, you retreat. So if you have 4 divisions in a corps, and your ...

If your "other" stack is there, it must start the battle

Somebody has to be in offense or assault posture, other than the army stack.

Good to know.

Do you happen to know why that rule was implemented?

Ok, so I'm playing a PBEM and McDowell finally activated and I attacked Manassas because even McDowell is better than Little Mac. I have two forces attacking one arriving on day 7 the other on day 11. I'm hoping with the long delay that battle would not occur until the larger force got there on day ...

Creating a simple event

Hey. I'd like help creating a very simple event and inserting it into an ongoing game.

Basically i just need to give the CSA a one time influx if money and WS. What is the best way to do this? I've read the editing posts but haven't been able to make anything work yet.

Thanks in advance!
