One more on MTSG. Pocus will be changing returns to the region the MTSG was in when it MTSG'd. The existing code does allow both situations - returning to own region or remaining with the stack being reinforced. The game between Felixz and Pgr has had a lot of successful MTSG. There was one MTSG whe...

Question - Has anyone ever had a retreat to an enemy depot before this alleged one that was not caused by a retreat to the region the stack came from? I re-ran the turn with one change - Beauregard was moved by rail to Louisa and back to Fredricksburg. Beauregards' subsequent retreat was to Louisa! ...

One could also assume that Grant did MTSG in response to Union message #3 which comes before message #4. Does any one think that this thread should also discuss how to avoid/alleviate bad retreats under the current rules? Until there is a patch (if there ever is one for retreats), we all have to liv...

Without the .hst and .ord files from both factions from the preceding turn I can only go by what the resulting .hst file show, the CS replay, which is bias through FOW and the messages in the mail-box. Ultimately the discrepancies I found in the messages are by far secondary to the demonstration of...

Caption Orso, Franklin attacked from Culpepper. Grant and Kearny railed into Culpepper both with O/O. Berry was in Stafford with O/O. All four commanders were active. Beauregard was defending in Fredricksburg. Dixon's divisions were transferred into Grant's Army. My thought on Beauregard's retreat t...

Usually sea regions display a tool tip advising how many naval elements are required to blockade. Chowan's tooltip does not have blockading prose - Albermarle does. Is there a programing error?

I seems that there should be some penalty for a Union player that doesn't clear the Mississippi, I have never been involved in a PBEM game (AACW or CW2) where the Union has not tried to clear the Mississippi. There is an attempt to establish a strategy to ignore every area except Virginia - which w...

After upgrading to 1.04, began to hear music!

Picolata should be Palatka, Florida

In 1827, a post office was built and Palatka replaced Picolata to the North as the major transportation center on the St. Johns River. The army constructed warehouses in Palatka in 1827 where provisions were deposited for further shipment down river and into the interior. With the Seminole Indian u...

I must add that if we replay the game like that, I will have a serious disadvantage. Grant will be dead and I will have nothing : no victory to celebrate, no defeat to mourn, no CSA's (nor Union's) casualties, no NM or PV change, no disruption of CSA's movements... Nothing except that I must play w...

No: river movement with his army. CSA’s general Polk was in the same area. The game seems to have initiated a battle but there was no fighting at all: no battle, no retreat, no victory, no defeat, no NM or PV earned or lost, no casualties except Grant. So I asked for another resolution because I lo...

As Captain Orso pointed out, the event to upgrade USA 6lb artillery is looking for $mdl_USA_Art1. Aa an example a New York Brigade composed of 2 infantry and 1 artillery has a 6lb battery using type $mdl_CMN_Art1Exp. Probably means that all USA 6lb artillery are type $mdl_CMN_Art1Exp. But the event ...

Aha, I think you've found it. In AACW, 6 lb artillery used models $mdl_USA_Art1 and $mdl_CSA_Art1 for the USA and CSA. IN CW2, they use $mdl_CMN_Art1Exp for the USA and $mdl_CMN_Art1 for the CSA. This is so that they can be captured and used by the other side. I'll bet if the events file is updated...

Yes. CSA ships were moving from James River to Hampton Roads to Cape Henry.

Batteries were in Fort Monroe with an active leader, without a leader or with an active leader outside the fort properly entrenched.

Captain Orso is correct that the 6lb-er upgrade code exists. However the game (through 1.04/RC4) does not call the upgrade routines. Upgrades did occur in AACW1, but I have never had a alb-er upgrade in CW2. Question - has anyone ever had a 6lb-er upgrade to 12lb-er in CW2? If so what version/build ...

If I interpreted your answers well, here are the votes from 9 players: It seems the majority is not in favor of implementing HR-s. We have only narrow vote for toning down NM autobalance. I would be reluctant to enforce HR which at least 2/3 players haven't agreed with, so no...
