The negative aspect is still missing. One can activate an army to double the CPs and then move that army to a totally different theater, far far away from the original GHQ and its aura.

I have seen some minor inconsistencies myself in places I know well, in the Black Forest and Northern Greece. The graphics of the map will be difficult to be improved at this point, however the characteristics (names, civilization level, etc) could. Some intermediate improvement we see in the Sinai ...

Battles should be bloodier, but I have noticed forces retreat much much easier. I wish we could see more battles that the sides fight in the same region for MC, especially when on standard stance.

Actually, I feel that this is an odd spot. There should be penalties if a GHQ moves too far away from its attached Generals, especially in another Theater. Otherwise it is too gamey, one has to simply activate his Generals in the beginning and then move the circus around while still reaping the frui...

If you think that's bizarre wait for your first WTF moments in a PBEM game. We are only on the first patch (considering how many CW has gotten by now), so no worries. Most things will be fixed. If not, there can always be mods to improve this or that. :)

Well said. However, it should still be possible, albeit remotely. I think the game should allow for chances (events firing or not firing) at the right moments so they give this or that temporal advantage to either side. This could help, in ideal situations bring Italy to the CP or, the opposite, all...

It has its merits, but you must consider the historical reality of being skewed against the Central Powers. There are some nice vessels that can do serious damage, but yes, I would say that mostly it's a land game. The CP will have to use subterfuge (raiders and submarines) to reverse the superiorit...

Still, flecha, there are things we can fix ourselves, if we only had a core of modders eager to fix what we have with the current engine. So many things can be fixed by simply tweaking the database and introducing-improving the events. But we need something like that! A bug bash system. There is no ...

This is an interesting idea. For starters, there are many regions on the map that could have mixed alignment (allegiance) so they could abstract local population feeling on the wrong side of the borders. This was a big deal back then. In game terms this has its own implications (for example between ...

I think there should be a condition for the event not to fire before 1916 or so. September 1914 is horrific, no need to be so aggressive. By 1916 it sounds much more realistic and if Mexico is on the verge of joining or joined already, it wakes up the USA at the right moment. If the Zimmermann event...

It should be pretty air tight.. examples of large numbers of troops... whole divisions/ corps and armies sneaking out of sieges are very rare. Remember that the percentage chance you are referring to is the chance to engage the forces escaping a siege... it is no guarantee that the force will be de...

Unfortunately, further trouble with this scenario. In our PBEM my rival enacted the Italian War Claims after I gave concessions as the CP, but my Austria-Hungary did NOT get back any alignment, although it lost its own share when the concessions were given. Please fix this for the future. Also, it m...

It's a problem of abstraction. Why do you think a siege is 100% airtight? It's not. I think it's ok to have sometimes stacks escape a besieging, as the Antwerp example showed, but it should happen with lower probabilities. Artillery and supply units should lower this probability, cavalry only units ...

I did it in my PBEM game. It is too early to consider the consequences, but I have to tell you that it's not that bad. Italy should indeed be "satiated" by the new Austrian territory and this is exactly what happens. Considering the 20% of alignment, it is fair to say that all other things staying e...

U-Boats is a little tricky. First, the starting one unit with the 2 elements has a different icon, probably a newer model. Second, their true hiding ability shows up only in sea, in port you cannot judge it. Put them to the sea and check again to be certain. My general impression is that for design ...

CP Light/Scouting Cruisers

Perhaps it was a design decision, perhaps it was simply oversight. I notice that the CP has two kinds of light cruisers, both with the same icon, apparently. However there is an important difference between the two. The first batch (the one you mostly start with as independent units) do NOT consume ...

In fact, a NM/PV hit should only be in order if there are higher-seniority promotable (accordingly, to 3-star or GHQ) Generals of the same country and in the same theater, only.

Declaring OberOst

So, the only way not to get the VP/NM penalty when one declares OberOst is to have Hindenburg as 3-star General, as all the others have lower seniority. The strange thing is this: they don't. They have higher seniority than ANY other General of the same nationality in the same Theater. Why the menac...

Armenian Genocide

I think this Russian "decision" can be activated too easily. Its conditions are met from turn 1, which is totally uncool for the CP player as he cannot do anything to influence this. If the conditions say about a certain number of elements in Armenia, at least there should be some input from the pla...

The victory should not be that hard to achieve if one sticks perfectly on the Schlieffen plan. Of course in hindsight we all do it perfectly, but back then it was not at all certain. I, in my PBEM with Merlin and Anazagar, failed to reach Paris by Christmas 1914. Humans obviously know how to react b...

Until it goes to 5. Five is the defeat limit, if I recall correctly. A nice abstraction cause it is if the decision to better spare the lives of the soldiers is taken, because remember in our PBEM in PON, Jim-NC, a nation with such low NM was fighting with soldiers made of dough! :D

I don't know if they should be able to completely clear a region, as that did generally take securing the land area (e.g. the Dardanelles operations), it should be easy enough for minesweepers to have an ability that gives a -66% or -75% likelihood of damage taken from mines. That would be good for...
