Traitor or not, Lee had some talents as a general, just as Arnold does. Lee might need a value which does not allow him to work with Washington, but maybe he is a bit better than the values he has in the game. I am not defending his actions, just saying, in the game it would be interesting if he pos...

One lovely thing about all of the AGEOD games is they provide historical parameters, but not deterministic controls. I pretty much agree with the designers that the French would intervene no matter what. This was such a great opportunity to humiliate the British, even if the Americans were not such ...

Two separate issues: NM should be responsive to loss of strategic cities. I have never seen a situation when you take a city you do not gain, and the opponent lose, NM. Perhaps in some instances you do not actually gain control. You have to have a 'regular' unit to control the city. To check this, l...

In all scenarios, you get regular reinforcement which, as you surmise, you only find out about by playing that scenario. These units are typically turn dependent, but in several occasions they are dependent upon your action or your enemy's actions. You will be able to keep track. Typically no hints....

Your are so right about the shorter scenarios just not being enough. However, they are great challenges in an of themselves. Do not forget them when you fall in love with the campaign games. Of the Revolutionary War scenarios, 1778 Decision in the Nort h is the best one to start with. Multi-theater,...

I am not sure I am a more seasoned campaigner, but I have some experience with assaults. The impact of artillery and other special ability units and leaders helps. If you can siege, this is one approach which is often most successful. For assault, you need something better than 4-1 superiority to ha...

You should have a folder called Config Utility in your start menu WIA file on your main menu.
It is two tabs, display and serial. Click on the serial tab. Put your serial number on this screen.
See if this works.

Because Hooker is better as a 2-star general than 3-star general. I think he would be unprofitable, at least IMHO. I like Hooker as Corp commander. Later, when other generals arrive, they may replace Lyon. So, might a consensus be, early in the game, keep Hooker as a very good corps commander, mayb...

Strange. Don't you think ammos are easier to "come by" now ? It used to be sometimes a real problem for me in WiA. Not any more. For instance, I have an Indian fighting force in the middle of nowhere, who fought already several battles without supply, and it is is still at 100% supply. Maybe the ru...
