I didn't know it. But too late, I already requested a refund ... #$@ I could have tried it in admin mode, maybe it really works ? . But I didn't want to wait too long and get my refund rejected. Damned !

Re: Should I stay or should I go ?

These crashes are common if you do not run in administrative mode, if you are doing so, please repost the issue. I was running from steam ... so probably not in administrative mode. But I already requested the refund which has already been accepted. Anyway, it was definitely not running on my compu...

Re: Should I stay or should I go ?

I purchased WON but it keeps crashing and works VERY poorly on my laptop. Very hard to zoom in/out or to move the map. It's also crashing randomly and turn resolution lasts forever (couple of minutes) even the first turn of the GC without any order given. After 30 minutes of pure pain I decided to a...

Re: Russian winter

grrrrrrrrrrr ... after 26 minutes I had to request a refund. The game was crashing all the time. And when not crashing was performing very poorly (couldn't zoom out or move map smoothly). Turns, even the first turn without any move on my side lasted forever (2+ minutes, without a single move, battle...

Should I stay or should I go ?

Hi there, I read many very bad reviews about the game, particularly on Steam. So my question is simple: should I buy it and why ? Or why not ? I love ageod engine (with some minor/cosmetic reservations however) and I love Napoleonic era. I heard that the AI is totally dumb. Hence my question : "...

F2 - replacement

Just a short question about the replacement pool. Apparently the manual is not up to date, hence my question: If I understand well, the top number represents the total number of 'chips' necessary to get all my armies "full" (by type of troops -infantry, cavalry, etc). But sometimes, the nu...

Re: Russian winter

Thanks mate for this answer. I'm really considering buying WON. I love Napoleon's era. Regarding CW2 I find it hard to play, mostly because of the map and also because I know very little about this conflict. But to be honest I didn't try hard enough so far and I'm focusing on RUS, which is brilliant...

Thanks for this ! Will take your Russian winter advises into consideration ! Just one more thing: you mentioned WON. Is it a good game ? I love the fact that it's a 1 week turn (I didn't know it !). And of course, as a French, I love Napo and Murat too :dada: :dada: :dada: But I didn't purchase WON ...

Hey, Forum is not dead, but a combination of vacation period and lull before the new engine/game makes it dormant. We are almost ready to make an announcement about the new game! That is excellent news! Is the new game to be published in 2018? +1 ! Great news. Can't wait for the announcement ! :clo...

I would just like to repeat that, in order to be perfectly honest and in case a visitor who doesn't know AGEOD games reads me, that the AGEOD games are absolutely brilliant ! I really love them. Just that sometimes some small things are a bit irritating ... but globally I love the games (I have RUS,...

Bakich's column has not disappeared, it is in inside the city besieged by a smaller red force. To see it just click on the city flag or through the force listing (F1). The generals you sent I do not know, perhaps they did not arrive because of the siege. Ahhhhhhhhh ! You're my hero ! :fleurs: I was...

(sorry for late answer but I crashed my PC and had to restore from scratch/factory settings. Took two days to reinstall everything :-( )

Something weird happened in Izhevsk

Hi, I was building a fairly large amy in Izhevsk (between Perm and Kazan) and was waiting for generals to Head it. It was a +/- 300 force with just one 2 stars General and was suffering a -35% penalty but the rest of the leadership was expected soon. It's winter. At the end of the turn, as I was exp...

Re: Improving AGEOD gameplay with 3 simple steps

I have to continue my list, hoping that one day a miracle will happen. And this could give ideas to the devs in terms of improving the UI... 5) why on earth when zoomed out (even slightly) in military mode (map mode 1) the cities names (and objective cities) are not anymore displayed ?! Is it to mak...

Re: Eastern White first moves ?

As White, the game is far strategicaly easier for the East/Koltchak thanfor the South/Denikin: _ Kolchak can make the White unification alone, by its north, Denikin is dependant on Kolchak _ Kolchak can decide to turtle and try to win the game alone as he has good VP towns, and Denikin will have to...

Re: Improving AGEOD gameplay with 3 simple steps

OK, I will continue with my list of oddities that could be improved with a quick fix: 4) When trying to move a unit into an invalid place (what ever the reason: unit locked, deactivated, unreachable destination), I should hear a BEEP instead of the regular movement sound. This is totally basic but a...

OK, I had forgotten this about Paradox. True that my PON version starts with a Paradox logo :-) Anyway, back to the game, I decided to start a new GC with the Western Whites. Oh Thanks !
I didn't know it was also on Paradox forum. Thought it was a Matrix/Slitherine game ?
Anyway, the AAR looks good. But it is starting in 1919, not in 1917 ...
Will read it anyway, looks like it's full of valuable information
Thanks again.
