Surprised this thread isn't getting more attention...the ideas being expressed here address some fundamental changes that could really improve the game and make it more realistic. Currently the game almost feels like ACW moved to Europe ;) The Grand offensives idea looks very exciting. Is anyone fr...

And if you play with the beta patch, there is a new trench memory. If you have military control of a region (>50%), the trench level will stay for new units. In 1.00, the trench level is solely linked to the units.

Because of the Russian Revolution. The Russian revolution AND the game engine. Currently, you can't be in a same faction and have different national morale, railpool, money, war supply, conscripts... So the best way to simulate WW1 is by splitting the Entente between WE and EE. But if the engine wa...

If a CP player plays historically he should not send his fleet for serious sorties before 1916. Thus, before 1916 all the NM will be decided on land battles and initial war plan decisions. I remember a rule in WW1G where you could not engage the hochseeflotte at will to simulate that an autorisatio...

Thanks Wodin. I appreciate your comments. I enjoy the game too. Maybe there is a way to make the warfare in the west more static from 1915-1917 by adding specific events or tech that only impact the western front. Make entrenchment values higher or make military control harder to change. It is a lo...

Yes UK AI always goes out of the war in 1916/1917 because of this, no matter what else happens.

Now that we have a better AI and a potentially longer war, it would be good to address this behaviour before official release.

Here you are. In this save, there were two failed assault on Konigsberg and Przemsyl in the last turn resolution. In both cases, every corps who took part in the assault retreated and was set to passive.

Simple : the number of GHQ is limited for each nation.

Germany may have two (that's why you could create one with Hindenburg) to simulate their wetsern and eastern fronts comand.

Other major (France, UK, Russia, Austria, Ottoman) may only have one.

Minor nations may have none.

Some clarification would be interesting to fully undertsand the system. Currently managing ammunition is no challenge at all as WE. Just build 5 ammos factories in 1914 and you wont even need thinking about it for the rest of the game. Does not seem very realist. WW1G and Commander The Great War hav...
