Answered: Do I need to I re-apply 1.05 if I install Cantabrian War?

I'm thinking of purchasing 'Cantabrian Wars during the sale... since it's older (1.02) can I install it over 1.05?

Thanks!

Re: Filling in the Ranks

Hovering the tool tip will give you that information both over the unit and then the icons on the F2 replacements screen.

Re: ECW 1.03RC Patch

I'm Enjoying 1.03 rc patch so far ... playing Grand Campaign as Royalist. I noticed many units have 'state of origin: 49'... WAD? I'm thinking these units have no out of area penalty as compared with for example 'state of origin: Wales.' ? Thanks! Edit: I notice that Plymouth harbor has 2 exit point...

Re: ECW 1.03RC Patch

Ok.... it's not hard to change manually....I just thought I'd to mention it.

Matrix Tech Support recommended deleting the "Userpath.ini" file in the ECW directory for anyone getting an Administrator critical error.

Re: I don't understand the 'Breaking Blockade' decision ...

Ok thanks clandini5... that seems to be a good way to look at the decision. 'exchanging money and EP for war supply and victory points.'

I was incorrectly looking at it from the American Civil War point of view of breaking blockade boxes.

I don't understand the 'Breaking Blockade' decision ...

Hi again, using ECW 1.03 As Royalist when I check the Bristol fleet... 'Break Blockade' is valid yet no enemy fleet is nearby blockading the area. This may be some residual effect from my AACW days but I'm thinging there should be an enemy fleet blockading an area in order to break out......

Re: ECW 1.03RC Patch

thanks for the patch!

:coeurs: Several turns in and my "main log" 26 kb :coeurs:

:innocent: Would it be possible to change the save location to the game directory in the official patch? It could help with administration issues.

As of now 1.01 from Matrix is all you need... it is newer than 1.02RC.

The patch numbering changed DON'T install 1.02RC over 1.01

general ops file after patch 1.02 beta was still 10.

I had to manually change the file to 100

// how many log lines should be written at once. Can slow down significatively the app & hosting if below 10.
LogBatch = 100

Thanks GW, You have explained the issue better than I can.... after a clean install and then the 1.02 beta; only six turns in and my main log is 1.11 GB. I checked TYW and the main log is 37 KB. link to Main log comparison image in game folders https://www.dropbox.com/s/3yonz42fktdeu99/TY...

Just in case anyone running slow is using Windows Defender; some users on matrix forum have had success by creating an exemption for ECW.

My main log is almost a GB... much bigger than any of my other Ageod games.

I wonder if writing to that log could be causing a slow down.

I checked the previous turn Feb 1624 and Protestants have 100% military control. Here's a dropbox link to current turn March 1624 and Previous Turn February 1624 Thanks!

Edit: link to saves removed... I'll use Wallenstein to my advantage.

Re: Is this WAD... Wallenstein arrival takes Prague for me ?

I'm not sure but I don't think there was any large force at Prague; no major leader was visible. Previous attempts always led to a siege. This turn Wallenstein appeared in the city changing possession; no seige As you say maybe it would be better if he arrived in a friendly city but I'm not very fam...

Is this WAD... Wallenstein arrival takes Prague for me ?

Hi I just want to see if this is WAD.

I've played terrible and nearly lost 3 armies at various times besieging Prague. March 1624 Wallenstein appears with a 400+ power stack and takes control of Prague giving me 7 EP. I don't think I deserve Prague.

HI again, Does an empty supply wagon still help collect supply from surrounding regions? Up until now I have been sending them back and fort...

Thanks for the help Durk, Good info. I think I will build a depot... the supply carts take quite a bit more micro management. In CW2 or RUS I wouldn't hesitate making a depot. I'm still getting use to the interesting supply situations in TYW. I think Leibstandarte made some excellent design decisions.

Stategy Question: (Early HRE) what to do with Budweis... ?

Hi again, This is my first try with the Full Campaign as HRE. It's early I forced the Protestant Armies away from Budweis. Supply there, even in good weather, is low. I've been running supplies wagons back and forth. In any other game I'd build depots but the supply in this game is a bit unique. I h...

Hi Miguel, I was playing the Bohemian Revolt Scenario as HRE and getting my butt handed to me.... the Protestants had capture Budweis and Wien. There is a known CTD that can occur when trying to examine a unit element ... the 'Nato Icon' on the right side of the screen. Bottom window that shows the units. It's the only crash I've had so far. I'm hoping this is fixed once the patch is finalized.
