I started with AACW (that's when I joined the forum)... love it...a classic! I bought WIA because of the slightly simplified game play... sometimes I don't want to have to manage which troops show up--WIA kind of gives them to you automatic... picked up ROP because of the evolving system (detailed c...

Yes, this game is surely going to be a classic. I just barely played through the tutorials and the Finnish campaign, but it's really great. The map and the graphics overall are probably the best ever in Ageod's history so far. I think they give a true feeling about the period. What's mor...

two questions about replacements..

Hi All, I've been playing the demo and noticed that the tool tip gives 'total units on the map' info when constructing new units but not when ordering replacement chits... 1--is there a way to find out which replacement types are needed other than checking units individually. 2--will replacement chi...

Koenigsberg question...

should I evacuate major forces,(Schoremer's cavalry and Lehwaldts infanty) from Koenigsberg leaving only the fortress garrison...there seems to be little they can do in Koenigsberg, they nearly starved to death during a siege and were only saved by old man winter forcing the Russians to leave...furt...

two questions...

since this game is based on the more recent AGE game engine (ROP version) will we have the "detailed combat report"...(excellent feature), also... considering the vast scope of Russia will turn length be closer to WIA's 30 day turns or more like ROP 14/15 day turns? Thanks! Sorry if these questions ...

I think this sounds great. I don't know much about the russian revolution but as with the other AGE titles I'll be forced to learn.

I probably would have bought this game over ROP if they were out at the same time. Can hardly wait...November you say... not too bad!

un-installing and re-installing?

Hi all, I currently running what I believe to be the lates official patch(1.15) but would like to try (1.16 beta6); the beta thread recommends a complete uninstall/ reinstall;what's best, should I use the uninstall feature on the Ageod program drop down menu or use the add/remove programs from Windo...

battles with two seperate armies in a region?

If two seperate armies (same country) are in the same region or arrive in the same region but are not allowed to merge is there a chance they will aid each other in combat? thanks! This is a wonderful game; the engine adapts very well to the different historical time frames. (IMHO) similar play as a...

thanks everyone

while using 1.11d a saved game started crashing during battle resolution.
( a bombardment issue.)
after updating to 1.12 the same saved game no longer crashes.

I'll probably start a new game soon to take advantage of the new features in 1.12

I'm still curious as to why a few enemy army general portaits change to generic army images.(soldier icons) example: both Jackson and Forrest were spotted as commanding officers, portaits in place.Several turns later the same armys have generic soldier images in place of portraits while Jackson and F...
