I think this is an engine issue, across all AGE games. It happens if two structures in the region are called by the same name, here the town and the fortress.

I think there is a random region picked for where he arrives. Locked regions shouldn't be picked though.

I never use cuirassiers for scouting. I keep them in my armies. Their replacements cost too much in WS and WS often gets short.

I don't think I have seen replacement chits getting used by creating auto garrisons in any other AGE game.
I hope it is not happening here, replacements are hard enough to get with out them being used every time a garrison is spawned.
Leibstandarte needs to comment on this.......

If you look in gamerules.opt in the settings folder there are different settings. AJE is 1, simple, where as Espana is shown as 2. RoP doesn't have this segment in gamerules.opt though. It does have a supply system in GameLogic.opt though, this is set at 2 at present. I would think changing this to ...

Just to add to the info given by Le Ricain and Wild Boar.
The 60th (Royal American) Regiment of Foot had 7 battalions. Three of which were rifles, the 2nd and 5th served in the Peninsular while the 7th were in North America. The 1st battalion served in the West Indies.

It is pillaged though so that means less supply is available.
As to how supply is worked out leibstandarte will have to answer that, supply might have been lowered for this game......

It's the same as BOA, WIA and all the AJE games. Supply is produced in the region but is not stored or pushed on to another region like in TEAW, CW2 or RoP. Here if it is not used it does not mount up.
Hard, because there is not a lot of it around, especially in winter. :cool:

It might also be worth putting the attrition on the middle setting to help the AI. I don't think it's fair to play against the AI with it on the setting you've got it. :)

I think it has only fizzled out because Shri was worried about the loyalty issue in Belgium.
Highland charge has gone awol again but Shri was doing Austrian orders anyway.

The infantry are built without the two artillery elements. You have to buy replacements of light artillery from the F2 screen to fill these.
