I think the losses you're seeing might be because there are no replacements being received by the beseiged units. Might be wrong though!
What I wanted to ask though was in the manual it says that units inside a structure do not suffer attrition losses. Is this correct or an error?

Playing as the brits full AWI campaign. Four things. 1 Merchant fleets when attacked don't unlock so that they can go to a harbour to recover damages, though it says on the tool tip "locked until attacked". 2 Von Heister a one star leader has a command usage of 1 even when he is stood on his own. Th...

Have also noticed that one of my merchant fleets in a shipping box did not unlock when it was attacked by raiders. Latest public beta patch, AWI, Brits.

A few things

Playing with latest public beta patch I have seen that the razing depots issue from AACW is present here too. Also when as the Brits you give "concessions to France", the -5 to FE does not seem to be happening. One last observation concerns Von Heister, he has a command usage of 1, even when he is s...

Playing with historical attrition for player only you loose men even when not moving, even in a region with a structure. Especialy in harsh winter weather. If they are in the structure, according to the manual, then they do not loose men. They go into winter quarters I presume. Was having problems w...

Hi all, over on WIA we're having another problem with auto retreat, see this thread

Problems with static units involved, has anyone noticed this or tested it here?

The militia and guns were outside the town, no seige and no assault. Yes they were in a force with static guns which cannot retreat so I think the game really needs to handle the situation better. The militia should be allowed to retreat. I'm sure historically the militia would have abandoned the gu...

Yes, autoretreat is triggered, but was triggered for the militia before it was triggered for Cornwallis. Because they had the non movable guns they there fore didn't retreat. Surely they would have just abandoned them? A fully commanded, supplied British regular force plus indians and rangers retrea...

Just had the same problem with a winning side retreat. Cornwallis and his force, also rangers, indians and dragoons, won battle against small militia force outside the town. Brits won and retreated while the militia failed in one retreat attempt, but still stayed put.

Winter movement

I've played all 3 campaigns, FIW, AWI and 1812, as the British against the AI. In all 3 it seems that Athena suffers huge losses from marching around needlessly in the winter when it would make more sense just to sit and wait. I usually play with normal aggression and not much of a detection bonus s...

Has the HQ replacements been implemented?

I'm having a whale of a time (where does that expression come from?) playing WIA at the moment and saw that a patch had come out for NCP. Does it include anything relating to the HQ issues that have been talked about, replacements etc. I want to play the PW scenario again but if nothing has changed ...

Champlain flotilla stranded

1.02b, FIW, the Champlain flotilla arrives in Fort William Henry and not Fort Carillon and then can't get to Lake Champlain from Lake Georges, bateaux that arrive there can cross to it. One of the indian winter quarters events still is showing right in the text messages, Penobscots or something like...

Aren't the "Replacements for lost companies of irregulars" meant to be replacements for Rangers or similar units and not "braves" though? Replacement errors

Playing as the British, FIW full campaign, latest patch and hotfix. Each time when the message "Peplacements for one lost company of irregular units are raised in America" occurs what shows up in the ledger is another ING Raider, but with a nato inf symbol with a P, or an R, on it. These are the sam...

Army HQ replacements

Not sure if this has been brought up before but if it has just adding my thoughts on it. There needs to be replacements available in the pool for all the support units as there is in AACW. Especially for the HQ. It would greatly help the AI, especially in a long campaign like the peninsular war. It ...

I have been playing this campaign quite a bit, firstly from the allies side (I always prefer to command the redcoats). I have now started a French campaign. It seems to me that the auto garrison feature doesn't work in this campaign. I didn't think it was when I was the allies, too many civilian upr...

Have pl;ayed through the start of the Spanish campaign twice now and both times the Cintra event message has popped up. The fixed Lisbon garrison arrives but the French force stays in Lisbon. Shouldn't they be getting shipped home?
