Playing FIW, Brits, latest patch and com mod. Sending Lord Howe, activated, fast mover trait, some highlanders and battoemen to Oswego, tool tip says 37 days. How come Murray, activated, with Rogers Rangers some provicials and regulars plus a supply wagon is only going to take 33 days for the same t...

Playing FIW, Brits, have just marched to Fort Duquesne and found it un guarded. :tournepas
Might I suggest for the next version of the mod a locked garrison for it so it doesn't fall quite so easily.

If you're playing with hardened attrition on Arsan is right, you need more supply than you're consuming each go for units to regain strength. If the area is pillaged then you regain strength even slower. Watch out for harbours in winter being blockaded by ice as this lessens the supply aswell. If yo...

You've got to play with hardened attrition on for human player only, not for AI. Makes you prepare, plan and check the weather :D
Should really be the default option for a better game :)

I haven't sent raiders anywhere new Albany, Philadelphia etc. I did beseige Philadelphia for a few turns but had noticed lack of a depot before this. Perhaps the...

Depots and Athena

If you play with the option "hardened attrition for player only", does it mean that the AI can get replacements for its incomplete units if they are in any region with a structure? They don't have to be with a depot? The reason I'm asking is that I'm playing AWI, latest patch and com mod, Brits. Hav...

Still nothing on this? I'm playing WIA at the moment but would like to leap into the Spanish campaign again but am waiting for any news on these HQ replacements. If you are besieging a decent sized army in a fort then assaulting the fort is an expensive option. If there is a harbour present then you are not going to starve them out unless you blockade the harbour aswell. Besiege and blockade will force the enemy to try and flee or they will wither away insid...

I now have a stack with siege artillery in it, entrenched to level two, no naval guns at all, but with the bombard passing ships button. You will see a symbol near the harbour when you have enough ships to blockade it. If you hold your mouse over the sea area to be blockaded it will tell you how many ships you need. :) If you hold your mouse over the harbour to be blockaded it will tell you which sea areas you will need to blockade. ...

Yes the button is there, look at the New York battery in my save game, it is the only coastal battery with the bombard button. None of the others have it although the battery in Savanah did have it a couple of turns earlier. Check those in Halifax and Jamaica. If bombard is the default action of nav...

Yes it is only the naval batteries that I'm trying to get to fire at any passing ships. I have them entrenched to level 2 and still no "bombard passing ships" button is available, it has the disband unit one there instead. With regard to the Boston supply problem I've found that it helps if you send the two transports with Howe and his army into Boston and then build a depot with the two transports. Then build a fort with the below strength art and supply wagon. Send the rest of the fleet up to Halifax so it doesn't d...

Playing as the Brits full AWI scenario have noticed that the income from shipping boxs is greatly reduced. Playing the 1812 campaign, latest patch, Brits. Cap Breton is now an objective, shouldn't it be Nouvelle Orleans instead? I think the losses you're seeing might be because there are no replacements being received by the beseiged units. Might be wrong though!
What I wanted to ask though was in the manual it says that units inside a structure do not suffer attrition losses. Is this correct or an error?

Playing with latest public beta patch I have seen that the razing depots issue from AACW is present here too. Also when as the Brits you give "concessions to France", the -5 to FE does not seem to be happening. One last observation concerns Von Heister, he has a command usage of 1, even when he is s...
