Horse & Musket

Sort of off topic but did anyone else here ever play the Boku games Dragoon or its follow up Horse & Musket, or even Horse & Musket 2. I used to lurk on the Shrapnel boards and seem to remember an Aryaman, must be the same one  Magnus is still on the Matrix board and must also be the same ...

Thanks arsan, thought it was the unit size thingy.
I think standard unit size for each different troop type might be the way to go, maybe not historically accurate but probably better game play. Just my tuppenny worth.

Strange battle report?

Not sure if this is correct, it probably has something to do with the size of the different units engaged and the hits inflicted by them. Just won the battle of Mohicans Village as the French but I thought that the battle casualties didn't look right in the report. I suffered 19 ranged hits against ...

Wording

Might I suggest changing the wording in the message that you get playing the French, F&I war scenario, when the British get more merchants. At present it reads

"English send more merchants IN America"

Perhaps to "to"

I only voted for three.
NCP2 and 30 years war and then "other".
(I only voted for 30 years war because I like long campaigns :D )
What about the English Civil war, wasn't there some discussion on this quite a while ago?

Looks like that is indeed the case, it just doesn't tell us that in the manual.
It just says any harbour to recover strength at the the rate of 5% per level of harbour. Shouldn't the manual reflect this if it is the case?

What do the elements look like in the Unit Detail Box? Assuming the game is similar to AACW in this part of the interface, if the elements are all green, then it has completed repairs as far as it can possibly go. Some of the units in the various AGEod games scenario setups are pre-designated to st...

Shipyard repairs

Not sure if this has been brought up before, apologies if I'm repeating someone else. Playing as French, F&IW, 1.04c plus community mod. Have had the Flotille de L'Isle Royale sat in Louisbourg harbour in passive posture for nearly a year. It's strength has been 149/200 for all that time, it hasn't ...

I'm just reading again "The Seven Years War" by Rupert Furneaux, part of "The British at War" series published by Granada in 1973. (I've picked up a few from the series at second hand bookshops.) Good overview of the whole war although focusing mainly of course on the British involvement, Canada, Am...

Wrong landing

April 1760, Brits FIW, just had a text message that a regiment of foot, one of light plus artillery and supplies landing at Charlestown. Clicked on text message and there they were in Albany :w00t: Putnam was also with them but no message about him.

Supply in tooltip

Playing FIW, Brits, latest patch and COM mod. Hardened attrition on as always. I am wintering in Isle Aux Noix, armies with a supply consumption of 103 a go. Fort, harbour and depot present. The tooltip when hovering on the region says the supply generated is 26, which I believe roughly equates to 1...

Albany to Carillon by boat

I'm sure I've seen this mentioned a while ago, but didn't know if it was meant to have been fixed or is in fact WAD. Bateaux can go from Fort Carillon to Albany but can't go Albany to Carillon. Playing latest patch, COM MOD, FIW. Have also just noticed the text message "Supplies are stockpled for mo...

Fort William Henry, the Mowhawk village one and Oswego get built if you move the required number of units into the area. IIRC they might take a go longer than when your troops arrive there. You don't need artillery and supply wagons to build them. The 2 forts in the south get built and garrisoned wi...

I don't think you can avoid it even with the evade combat button. I'm not sure if frigates, light warships, have a better chance of avoiding bombardment. It would make sense if they did. Not sure if it helps the evade value by adding more to your fleet though. I think I was told a fort battery will ...

Here it is, Fort William Henry stack doesn't work, Oswego one does. Unless I'm missing something also showing here is Winslow on the north east coast, not activated but the "H" key does work for him.
