UK starts out neutral and goes into the war without plan. Make of that what you will. :innocent:

Did you click into one of your provinces? Much like in Europa Universalis you have to click the province belonging to a country in order to have access to its options. You see the selected country on the top left, represented by its national flags. At the start of the game Germany, Austria-Hungary a...

I just don't like the idea of the other side dictating when to put yourself in a miserable situation. Even a politically adventureous Entente declaration of war on Belgium would see some preparations, whereas in this case, the Centrals player can mass on Belgian border, play the event, and rape Fra...

I don't seem to be able to play the event 'Entente declares war on Belgium'. I took Germany's non-attack on Belgium war plan. So Belgium is neutral. So what the heck, what conditions are not met? I'm in the 1914 pre dip phase? This is a new game with latest patch. So is this a bug or is there somet...

Btw, for reading I also recommend the above mentioned "All Quiet on the Western Front" by Erich-Maria Remarque about the "normal" life on the Western Front to the point that the protagonist (while on vacation in Germany) feels isolated from the society he used to be part of. As for movie version I r...

I'm not sure but I think yes. Anyway the minimap is no real help in this issue. It's to small. (Or the map is to big:neener :) Maybe a small "ping" icon on the minimap to show more easily where a battle is taking place? Someone also suggested zooming out before battle resolution to see more of the ...

I agree that only "historical" colonial units (ANZAC, North Africans, Senegalese, some Indians ...) should appear in Europe, or such troops that you are actually able to transport manually. Units that have reformed after destruction should appear in the original places, with exception of colonial un...

IMHO it would be rather gamey, though, to force other nations' foreign policies like that, though. I can see influencing diplomacy negatively (Zimmermann Telegram), but I find forcing two foreign nations to war a bit too powerful, to be honest.

EDIT: Nevermind, I take both - they are not that large, after all. :bonk:

Good find. There was also a German(-French?) documentary about Verdun following the
crew at Ft Vaux and a couple French and German soldiers (pro and anti war on both sides) based on their correspondence in a number of acted out scenes.

P.S.: Jinxed it. Crashed in June 1915.

Title says it. March/April was snowfree in Europe, May sees almost all of France and most of the Balkans suddenly covered in Snow. Working as designed? http://img357.imageshack.us/img357/3582/snowmay1915cq8.jpg http://img357.imageshack.us/img357/8770/snowmay1915iiva1.jpg :)

Btw, as I posted in the main forum: It appears that units deployed to the nation's GHQ still don't appear, even though the message of deployment appears.

If that can't be easily solved I'd suggest putting those units into the "placed by player" reinforcement pool for now.
