Back in April I did one from the other side - there's a short forum post on it.

I like these small scenarios and wish there were more, but most people seem to like the longer bigger ones - same as for NCP and AACW.

There's a 110% correlation between those scared of Swine Flu and those scared of Global Warming. I've found that if I go into a crowded bar, such as here in Cheltenham where it's been horse race weekend, a quick sneeze (or fake sneeze) clears the bar queue and makes for rapid drink service. Just do ...

Yes, I guess I'm in a minority of one so I'll stop. I just bought another game called "Advanced Tactics" published by Matrix. It has a random generator but also a building production thing I don't like. So that's another fifty bucks gathering dust. I actually gave up playing wargames over forty year...

Well now that lots of people have owned up to playing games that were not historically accurate or even futuristically accurate, if such a thing exists, I'll get on to one of my rants about games. AGEOD - Make a random scenario generator. Sid Meier's Gettysburg had one. Combat Mission had one. Steel...

C’est magnifique, mais ce n’est pas la guerre: c'est de la folie.

Well I got this yesterday because it was there and it was Remembrance Sunday. Congratulations on persisting to make it a working game and respect for the gentlemanly policy of offering refunds a few months ago after the initial debacle. I'm afraid I got lost in the second tutorial but never mind; I'...

Thanks for the quick reply Arsan. Yes it's a great tutorial. Off topic but possibly relevant to you - what games do you know that cover wars in Spain? There's NCP's Spanish Ulcer;A scenario on the Spanish Civil War in Paradox Hearts of Iron 2; I suppose there's Pyro Studios' Imperial Glory - aren't ...

Malakand Field Force - by Winston Churchill covering his own experiences on an expedition to the Swat valley bordering Afghanistan in about 1897.

It's amazing how many of the same issues face US/Nato forces now.

By the way, has your avatar thingy just changed. I'm sure last time I looked it was a lonely Scot playing with his sporran. Now he seems to have some friends. How nice.

Thanks for this.

As an aside, can we have less religion in AGEOD's games please?

If canons were replaced by cannons we would have more firepower and less reliance on priests!

Sure, but you need somebody to be in business to produce challenging games. In post #25 PhilThib says 200,000 euros should do the trick. Well, looking at the bottom of the forum I see less than 7,000 registered members so that's about 30 euros each assuming registering is a good indicator of liking ...

Scenarios. scenarios, and more scenarios. And a random scenario generator. And a scenario editor for those who want to create their own. Your grognards will demand more long campaigns and more economic detail. And still they will grumble. Your bank manager will demand more customers. And still he wi...

I play all my games on a laptop, reclining on the sofa with a glass of wine to hand.

To get a desktop might imply I was taking life seriously.

I sat still for the first 2 turns. Too bloody cold to do anything. Then one party (Sequin) to Mohegan, another to Mis I Stuck ! One defeat at Misistuck, followed by a victory. Then back to Pequot and everybody out to attack Hartford - one defeat, one victory. Overall victory albeit Nantic village (b...

Play Carolinas 1776 as US

I had similar issues. Still can't get a clear win as Brits, but getting darn close. Suggest you try as US, change difficulty to easy, and take fog of war off. There's a good walkthrough for part of the Napoleon's Campaigns game which is useful for explaining some Ageod game concepts. In fact I bough...

Great games by the way Ageod

Thanks for the reply. Tried lots of variations of scampering around, splitting Cornwallis's force. Thought I'd got it once - f5 showed I had Charleston and Wilmington + 2 others, but "computer said No" Tried another scenario - Chasing Nathaniel - just to show I can get a win on easy peasy. Back to s...

How to win as Brits in Carolinas 1776 ?

Got this retail yesterday, to join AACW and Nap's camps. I can't win as Brits in Carolinas 1776 scenario. Tried, as usual sadly, putting everything on easy, no fog etc. Still I'm useless. Even tried losing as US by doing nothing and giving Brits (as AI) all advantages. Still Brits lose. I know nobod...
