Experienced opponent wanted

Hello, if you're interested, send me a PM. I'm willing to play any side. I'm open for the more later scenarios too, but i've only played the GC.

Some of you people forget objectiveness and fully trust sources written later or just plain propaganda. I'm not saying Caesar was a bad general but Pompey was neither.

People always seem to underestimate Pompey. Let's say that Pompey and Caesar were fairly equal, Caesar had better subordinates and excellent troops. Pompey had great political connections but inferior troops.

Per the DB [unchanged from before] you'll lose 35-40 Loyalty each time you play Requisitions or Conscription. It's likely that it behaves differently, as Loyalty changes were bugged before... AFAIK this is now WAD.... ...no more indiscriminant Conscription and Requisitions... How is it a problem if...

Firstly, Grrens have Loyalty there, but RED still has MC. Best garrison strongly in cast of a Revolt! Before I dig into your situation: By "a round of requistions" do you mean a series of Requistion-Conscription RGD's? Did you play any Concession or Tchecka to regain lost loyalty? "Serial Oppressio...

Ballista creation rules?

Hey I've been sieging Alexandria for three turns with 7 legions + auxiliaries in the Severus campaign and they still haven't built any ballistae. They are in the defensive mode if it affects that. In other campaigns it has worked well but this one seems to be the most buggy. For example the dreaded ...

This campaign was really easy against the AI. Othonian forces just tried to do something in Macedonia where they failed miserably as soon as I unlocked the Moesia Superior legions. At the same time I landed the emperor near Metapontum and proceeded onto Rome, then the victory screen just popped up! ...

Place depots to strategic locations with level 2 forts or higher. You can easily send your supply wagons there to replenish and then bring them back later. I always build my depots on the coast so I don't have to waste supply wagons. Money's usually abundant or easily acquired so spending 100 denari...

I've been playing that scenario a bunch, and I don't know what triggered your loyalty shift exactly but....The key to playing the romans it seems is not letting the slaves control any regions (for any longer that absolutely possible), especially those with depots or cities. Battles are of secondary...

Third Servile War

This massive rebellion in Italy really got out of hand even though I chased Spartacus to hell and back. Loyalties in Italy, Sicily and Gallia Cisalpina are totally for Slaves though in Rome 67% still support the old order. So my question is how to end this? I've killed hundreds of thousands of them ...

You might play too agressively. The commie troops aren't that great. So avoiding engagements while controlling Rome could be a sounds tactic in Italy. Dot Italy with castrums and the AI will probably have to spread it's forces everywhere to conquer these. They're really annoying because they sometim...

A small report about this: My plan for this turn was to force massive casualties on Sertorius and chase him around the eastern coast. I'm sure if I could destroy his main army, I could end the war in Hispania in a year. 1st battle http://i.imgur.com/WgwTf.jpg Clearly a Pyrrhic victory but nothing de...

How to protect against pirates? And weird lost battles.

The pirates in the Mithridatic war scenario are a massive scourge and I've lost more EP than I can count against them. How would you suggest that I protect against them? Another problem that I've had has been these clear stalemate battles where both sides have usually lost the equal amount of men an...

You set it on Assault/feint so the general diidn't try to assault the city, to assault on the move you have to set it on assault/all out attack (or was it the assault anything feature?) if the rules haven't changed. Thank you! Now I know what happens after the first turn. So I guess the Caesarian veterans went to your camp? Also where did Pompeius and his fleet go? Does he automatically sail to Greece?
Is it possible to influence the Hispanian legions if Pompeius goes to Greece?

The Siege mechanic is a bit unbalanced now. A single Green Peasant Militia managed to hit me 5 times while they were "sieging" my forces in Novgorod.
