I am currently playing during the Crimean War and I'm blocking the Russian port of Sevastpol using the French and British fleets. What happens is that the cohesion is hit really hard after about a month, why is that so? IRL port blockades can last for months and in game the fleet's strength dropped...

What goes into the decision making when figuring out to siege or assault? As you might suspect its complex. Remember that frontage plays an important role in combat so a large army cannot effectively be deployed to an assault. So a certain size of garrison will probably fight off any direct attack....

I realise you are annoyed, but read my post. I have a GG version of PoN, I updated to 1.04.5 with no problems. Others have done this as well.

I sympathise but the problem is not the patch/GG interaction.

The war was very active, I was seeing the naval combat image during turn resolution and provinces change to Union control etc. So it really shouldn't have been the auto-white peace event.
