Thanks. Very much a repeatable issue. I'll send it on to the Master, but cannot promise any quick response.... Well, thank you for investigating! Tactically, I got into habit of plotting my moves up and down the coat by 'forcing' the ships to go via the 'ble water', at least to pass the coastal for...

Different situation" you have arty loaded on Ships. WIA does not have the Riverine Transport stystem of AACW. Why not plot a move via Ocean Regions to avoid Coastal batteries????? Please post a save of this so we can examine the damages. No promises, though. If there is a DB fix, maybe, but a new W...

I updated to patch level 1.17 QF2 and reran the turn. The artillery being transported by Porter's Fleet is still targeted by the bombardment from Island #10, but the 6th Marines did not get bombarded. So only one issue to look into :) . I can confirm that I have this same issue in my current WIA ga...

Aaaaaaaaaaaaand I have one more for you to fix! :( In my current 'War of 1812' PBEM as Britain, I have run into the problem that I did not receive most of the reinforcements and replacements I should receive in 1814 after Napoleon goes into exile. As far as I can tell, this is caused by the followin...

I've run WIA (with the latest patch) on my laptop upgraded to Win8 without any problems. Seems a little bit faster than on Win7 before.

Barring catastrophic issues, this will become the Legacy patch. So I guess this is the last chance to get changes/issues with the game to your attention? Having recently played the Revolutionary War scenario (1775), I have some questions that I would be grateful for you to address before finalizing...

This should be save game compatible with RC1, right? Asking because I'm in the middle of a War of 1812 PBEM.

Does this feature (supply production in a non-blockaded port of a sieged city) actually work now? Because in WIA it sure as hell doesn't.

Actually, ignore the above. Turns out, I forgot to check how often the event was supposed to fire... :bonk: Apparently, the two (2) instances have already been used, so no more free replacements for me... Pity, though - I could really have used those extra replacements for my many understrength units.

Problem with Replacements: 'EvalRgnVP' sensitive to enemy troops?

In my current PbEM I'm playing the British in the 'The whites of their eyes' scenario. Looking at the '75replacements.sct' file, I should receive 2 line infantry replacements each in April and October, as long as I hold Manhattan. However, I do not receive them. I can deduce from the messages about ...

Stark and his militia is espescially funny, him being an expert in figthing in rough terrain (I think it should be him fighting THE rough terrain). Yeah, IIRC Stark`s raiders move like 'Heavy Infantry' which really doesn't make a lot of sense. This also affects other British colonial raider-type un...

Let me try to explain why I think it is correct as-is: 1) The water region represents many square miles of water, much of it out of range of land based artillery and ships guns. 2) Ships stationary there are carrying out "brown water blockade", preventing supply to the port and attacking enemy ship...

Hello. I'm kind of waiking up an old thread, but it seems to me the right place to do so. I've read a lot about supply and I am finally understand it. But a couple things bothers me. Let's take the example of the Missouri theater, while playing the USA side on full campaign. I've taken Rolla and Je...

FIW: Inconsistency with Spanish Fleet?

I just noticed something that I thought interesting in my current FIW PBEM (as the French): 1) The Spanish ships that unlock at Cuba when Spain enters the war each have a CC of 1. All other ships have a CC of 0. Is that WAD? 2) When Spain enters the war and the units at Cuba and Pensacola unluck, th...

Thank you for your replies! 1. I did not blockade the port - I never had enough bateaux to try. However, I did make sure that I controlled both banks of the Elbe as far as it is navigable - thus, there really should not have been the possibility of supply getting there by boat... 2. Re new patch - i...

Confused about supply in sieged cities

I have a question about supply. I use 1.03a and play as Prussia against Athena. I have caught the Austrian Army of Bohemia in Prague and am now sieging said Army in the city. For a whole year. Shouldn't a sieged army start to starve at some point? Or a I missing something? Is the supply production i...

Montcalm has wrong trait?

The French leader Montcalm at the moment has the 'Entrencher' trait. According to the tooltip, this trait 'affects all the elements of the unit this element is in'. Since Montcalm can never have additional elements in his unit, this makes the trait rather pointless. Maybe this is supposed to be the ...
