I haven't see anything mentioned here beyond 1.04. Yet, a few weeks back I noticed my Steam version thought it was 1.05. Didn't think much of it at the time. Guessed it may have been something related to parting ways with Paradox. At the moment though, it's auto-updating, but still no news here. Odd.

I've pretty much always played with extended structures on. I believe the limits should be the strategic choice of what to spend limited resources building, not arbitrary. That said, even as the globe spanning empire of GBR, the only things I've ever gone into the extended range for have been forts,...

Last time I played this game (version 1.03b iirc) there was an event as Loki says which caused an Australian miners' strike. It's mentioned in this thread: http://www.ageod-forum.com/showthread.php?23526-Observation-in-patch-1-02&highlight=miner Anyway, you get a decision on the F1 screen about it ...

Hex based maps have no place in ANY strategy game worthy of the name. There's all kinds of strategic elements that simply can't be done on such a map with out seriously simplifying the game, the map design, or both. That said, they can work quite well for tactical games. Which can also be great fun,...

Troops moving by water insist on taking scenic route through desert

As the title suggests, I've come across a bit of a path finding/altering issue and I'm curious if anyone has seen anything similar or has any ideas what to do about it (my army is about to die due to running out of supplies because of their little detour) Previously, on more than one occasion, I hav...

I wouldn't consider that gamey Kensai. It makes perfect sense that turncoat troops would be unreliable against their own countrymen and thus put to better use on another front. Ideally against another group against whom they have traditionally had a high degree of animosity.

I would expect it will be the same as GBR. You'll get new generals that specialize in leading troops from specific places. So far I've seen them for troops from India, Africa, Ireland and Canada.

What year is it in your game? If 1880s or earlier there may be a rule that Transvaal can't be absorbed after 1st Boer War so that scripted events for 2nd Boer War in 1899 still have a nation to apply to.

100% repeatable. Scroll to the bottom of any message list in standard list window. Click switch button to increase list window size (there will now be 5 blank lines below bottom entry). Scroll up.

At least it's easy to avoid once you're aware of it :)

The military AI in this game is often amazing. In the 1880 campaign, I arrogantly assumed my large, modern British army would be able to easily crush the Mahdi's spear chuckers. A couple of easy victories reinforced my arrogance, and I let my army advance to a position where it could not retreat, a...

The trick to marketing is not to figure out how much you loyal customers will pay for new product/services. Nor even how much new customers will pay for the same. Rather it's how to convince them to spend as much of that budget as possible on your wares, rather than your competitor's, all while your...

I think I've figured out the issue in Angara by looking at some other territories all over the map. The problem is not an invisible structure. The problem is the error message for why you can't build is wrong. Even with no structures, you can't build things like depots, forts and harbors in territor...

Sometimes, early on, there can be gaps in the flow of goods rather than simple demand and supply That's a big one. One of the nice things about playing GBR, as I am, is trade fleets all over the place. Most countries don't even have one, never mind many. You can generate tax revenue buying and sell...

In Africa, you may have enemy soldiers there that you can't see (it cuold be some tribal unit is hiding in the province). You would need to chase them off, but you need to see them first. If he's got 100% MC and a RR he shouldn't be having supply issues from natives. Not sure if they'd impact RR mo...

Definitely some odd things with control of territory and preexisting 3rd party structures. While loki100 is correct that there is some logic to not wresting control from a non belligerent, it's a little odd how they can passively block you from doing things, even if they have hardly any control them...

I don't think it should be just a question of if Austria built out it's RR in 6 years instead of 20 or however many. Rather, could they have done so instead of doing other things. If their economy is more or less in the ballpark in that regard, then it's a matter of the player's priorities.

I've seen coal mentioned by others, yes, and had less of other resources than I'd have liked at times as well. That's always a function of geography, and what it is varies nation to nation. I've yet to make it to the late stages of the game (HDD failure FTL) but from my early trials w/ the beta patches to the current game I've always found manufactured goods to be the bottleneck.

A few little things:
- New Zealand Constitution and Miner Rebellion decisions stay on the F1 screen without choices taking effect for months on end.
- GBR-US trade treaty and Miner Rebellion events both give messages in format evt_nam__GBR_etc but display fine in F1 screen.
