Hi guys, I thought I'd throw out there that the National Tribune, a newspaper written by and for Union veterans after the Civil War, is available for free at the Library of Congress web site . Use the dropdown menu at the left to scroll through various years. The newspaper contains a ton of reminisc...

I've started to post every single one of the famous George Nafziger American Civil War Order of Battle Collection at TOCWOC - A Civil War Blog on a dedicated page . Thanks. I am under no delusions about how long this will take, and it will never be truly complete. I think what I wanted more than anything is to have an online repository of the information I have collected about what is really an understudied campaign.

Beyond the Crater: The Petersburg Campaign Online

Ever since Harry Smeltzer started his Bull Runnings blog/site focusing on the First Battle of Bull Run (Manassas) , I’ve wanted to do something similar for the Petersburg Campaign. I’m happy to say I’ve finally started on that project. The new web site is called Beyond the Crater: The Civil War Pete...

Ten Civil War bloggers (including me) are listing their own top 10 Gettysburg books over the course of the three day anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg. The idea is to take these lists and combine them into one comprehensive list which will serve as a nice "go to page" for those looking to get...
