Re: Which replacements for captured units?

When you have captured an enemy unit, a new line should appear in your replacements screen for that faction. Typically you only have the option to purchase replacements for captured units. Not all captured units have the possibility of creating replacements. So unless you see a Russian line for heav...

Re: Rebel alignment

I am not the best person for explaining the technical side of this game, but some thoughts and observations. Revolution in primarily triggered by low National Morale. At first the army rebels, locking many/most units every other turn. Then when NM reaches 0, your government is no more. Rebellion is ...

Re: Noticed many leaders cant be promoted?

Any military game will have controversy when generals have ratings and ranks and their historical position can be a bit vague. For the most part, this game allows promotions for leaders who had both positional (ie - appointed) leadership as well as functional leadership positions. McCulloch is a bit...

Re: Solitaire Man

Captain_Orso really hits all the key points for solitaire play. You probably want to play all the major factions, so issue orders for all seven majors, saving after each. When you have made your last save, decide from whose perspective you wish to view the game. Then enter that faction and run the g...

Re: Capital city

Yes, totally agree with arsan, it is scenario dependent. However, if you lose your capital and no other city becomes your new capital, you might lose some game options. This is the only situation where you may want to dedicate a force to retaking your capital.

Re: Critical Error During Turn Transition

What I find with the newer titles is that I often get this error if I play more than one turn. So my solution is to exit and reenter the game. If that does not work, take the longer exit Windows and resume play. I think there is a cache which finally empties when your restart your computer.

Ongoing turn a day game needs either a player eager for a challenge in a desperate situation or one joining a very successful nation, your choice of factions. Let me know.

Think of it as a zone of control indicating your force cannot move into the region. Sometimes, a smaller or especially cavalry force may not have the same restriction.

Nope - totally agree. I put pillagers in places where they are not in charge. I do use leaders with the pillager trait if I am only raiding enemy regions and they do tend to sack whatever they find.

You can parse the seven players to three if this provides you more manageable group Several options: But letting the diplomacy lead so players shift countries played. For...

Re: Can Bulgaria and Romania form Armies?

You know hpalmer, this is one of the bonuses features of playing AGEOD games. The manuals get you into the games, but the details can be more complex than any manual can handle.
Pillager is a mixed attribute, can enhance play or can ruin a nice region.

Primarily an army provides better command control. You do not get the battle bonus of attached corps, but you do get your forces in command control without penalty.
