Re: Does an empty supply wagon help collect supply ?

That is the Thirty Years War. The designer really got the super cold winters of that time right. Viewed from today they would probably be complaining about Global Cooling.

Philippe - Your are so right with regard to the modern day. I love the walk through the park to the fort and the Cloisters. In game terms, these forts are placed correctly. The Colonial Congress has its first opportunity to stop British control of the Hudson with these forts. More cautious American ...

I have seen this, but it is rare for me. When it happens is when I have a lot of game activity prior to play, not just in RUS, but especially when I play two or three RUS scenarios first.
Wonder if this is your case?

Re: Does an empty supply wagon help collect supply ?

There is a bit of calculating you can do to decide if to keep the supply unit or run it back to another source to refill. A wagon with a force can draw supply from that area and any adjacent area. Determine the supply demand of your force - the number of elements. If the force is equal to or less th...

Re: Leader "Melds" with Unit

For what it is worth, I think this is a lot like when my generals disappear into a non-region. They are present, but you cannot play them. I have seen this happen after a battle in a manner similar to what you describe, but usually it happens when I have them on passive stance, avoid battle and they...

Yes and yes. Just saying for players who are confused when the wrong leader seems to be leading an army, the senior leader shows as the battle commander even when he is not in charge of anything and adds no value.

Hi Durk! I have never heard about that special cav and art bonus you mention! Can you point me to some place where it's explained? Because of point 3, personally I left arty out if the groups, as they are very rarely targeted in combat and don't get destroyed. You have chosen a great game. One of the ones I love to play. You might have some challenges ahead of you as you figure out this game. There are two very different methods to learn this game. One is to play against AI and see how you do. The other is to take control of both factions and learn the ga...

Re: Forts Lee and Washington?

I typically do not play against AI, but I am learning that BOA2/WIA has an exceptional Athena as an opponent. When playing against a Colonial AI, it will build these forts. This should be a strong clue to those playing as the Colonial side to build these forts. It is not an event, ever. It is the 'l...

Your are correct, you need one supply wagon and one artillery, but each must have four elements. If you have enough supply or artillery but in different units, combine them.
Depots do not help at all in building the fort.

I understand. While I do not have a great answer at all to your situation, which seems a bit extreme, typically the victory conditions fall much more in the 'normal' range. Leader capture rules have not yet been incorporated into the game. For now, leaders might get wounded or killed, but capture wa...

Re: What do you have to do to get a major victory?

Sometimes AGEOD victory conditions are a bit mysterious. I love them, but your result seems a bit extreme. NM (national morale) is heavily weighted.
I usually think any victory is a cause for joy, despite its name.
