I might be interested if no raiding except in areas where both sides have at least one division or leader. In other words, in contested states. Not just raiding romps through places no raiders would ever go. If this is ok, we can chat or play.
The silence on your post must mean no leader database. No biographies for the game. WIA or BOA2 may not need a leader database as much. Leaders do not change qualities as they advance. They do change qualities upward for success, but never a loss for as promotion.
Have your tried running as an admin? For me, all games work fine in Windows 7, both 32 and 64, if I right click and select, run as an administrator. Until I learned this move, I would get something very similar to what happens to you. Windows 7 is a really good system for gamers with a closet full o...
Traitor or not, Lee had some talents as a general, just as Arnold does. Lee might need a value which does not allow him to work with Washington, but maybe he is a bit better than the values he has in the game. I am not defending his actions, just saying, in the game it would be interesting if he pos...
One lovely thing about all of the AGEOD games is they provide historical parameters, but not deterministic controls. I pretty much agree with the designers that the French would intervene no matter what. This was such a great opportunity to humiliate the British, even if the Americans were not such ...
Two separate issues: NM should be responsive to loss of strategic cities. I have never seen a situation when you take a city you do not gain, and the opponent lose, NM. Perhaps in some instances you do not actually gain control. You have to have a 'regular' unit to control the city. To check this, l...
In all scenarios, you get regular reinforcement which, as you surmise, you only find out about by playing that scenario. These units are typically turn dependent, but in several occasions they are dependent upon your action or your enemy's actions. You will be able to keep track. Typically no hints....
Your are so right about the shorter scenarios just not being enough. However, they are great challenges in an of themselves. Do not forget them when you fall in love with the campaign games. Of the Revolutionary War scenarios, 1778 Decision in the Nort h is the best one to start with. Multi-theater,...
I am not sure I am a more seasoned campaigner, but I have some experience with assaults. The impact of artillery and other special ability units and leaders helps. If you can siege, this is one approach which is often most successful. For assault, you need something better than 4-1 superiority to ha...
As someone who is kind of newly figuring out this mobilization issue myself, I will give you my take. Others will provide better ideas, but some not so obvious concepts are worth thinking about. Building industry is ok, but go very slowly, one state only at first. Building industry is not how you bu...
Hmm. I do not know what to say. Maybe we are not using the same language or program. I am not in the program file. I am on the open program menu. On my computer, I click on the image which allows all programs to be open. I go to the WIA menu. One of the options is a configuration utility. If this is...
You should have a folder called Config Utility in your start menu WIA file on your main menu. It is two tabs, display and serial. Click on the serial tab. Put your serial number on this screen. See if this works.
Thank you! We've identified the issue: The Region Selection list and associated "NotEnemy" commands are located in Actions rather than in Conditions. Thus, if all regions in the list are "Enemy", the engine goes ahead and places the units at one of the locations anyway! Solution: edit every arrival...

I tried identify the correct files you need. I cannot find the place in the forum which explains which files to post. Sorry. If someone clues me in I would appreciate.
We'll need saved games for these latest issues: ⋅ Pontooner ability ⋅ Ammo non-depletion (or unusual resupply of ammo) ⋅ Training (actually eperience gains) without trainer or combat ⋅ Appearance of new units (Hortelez, etc.) in enemy held cities ⋅ ...
The ones used in my current game come from the idea that my opponent and I are both not fans of unhistorical raiding (and he is good at writing our ideas into working solutions) 1) free raiding in states that are contested (meaning both sides have at least one substantial force (of 1 division or mor...

It seems from the description there whould be one folder and one pon.exe file. That is not how it is for me. It is just a bunch of files. The pon.exe file is there and 40,000 other files. No directory. The path column shows where they should be....Maybe I don't know what I am doing. Did you unzip i...
Because Hooker is better as a 2-star general than 3-star general. I think he would be unprofitable, at least IMHO. I like Hooker as Corp commander. Later, when other generals arrive, they may replace Lyon. So, might a consensus be, early in the game, keep Hooker as a very good corps commander, mayb...
