Yup, the fix has broken something else. I had a CTD within a few turns after starting the Colonial version of the 1755 campaign. I also noticed that with 4 bateaux units in New York, I was unable to upgrade the depot level. So, do I need to reinstall 1.08 and THEN run the patch.exe? There comes a p...

This patch supports all the status indicators you list.
I wonder if the patch worked? Maybe try a new install.

This is interesting and helpful; however, sorting these numbers into a probability outcome is not so clear. I am a late comer to the forum, so maybe what I am asking has already been discussed in detail, but: How do I take these numbers about frontage and turn them into a quick an dirty gauge of if ...

Ft Jackson for sure. Plantations Butler visited, which are nice sites. Mobile's forts. Pensacola.
Not the best route for battle sites, but some interesting places.

If you liked ROP, you will love RUS with experience.
Some variations, but just settle in an look around. Do not try to take on the whole Red army at first. Clear your back while you make some gains.
For instance, clear Smarkand. You have the units to do this.

ACW is funny, to me as a student of WIA. Damage in ACW is only fixed with replacements. Only if 'whole' will they fill up as you wish. Replacement supply is costly, but try and a couple and see if this fixes.

You may need replacements.
Baltimore has sufficient supply that if they just needed a fill up, they would have by now.

Charles, Several things contribute to what you are observing. A major one is that WIA is 30 days versus 14 days for ACW. That is, WIA has 30 resolution steps, while ACW has 14. Battle times do vary. WIA tends to have longer resolution because the forces are more similar in qualities. You will have a...

This is a victory. Remember in all Ageod games, a win by points is similar to a massive win in other game systems. The victory system is not really for very short scenarios, but longer ones. What you have achieved is truly remarkable. Two to one in casualties and all objective cities. A victory in s...

This is a tough one. Need some luck. My only success came with a forced march and all out attack. Try default settings. This may help provoke AI to move. Not impossible, but need to catch Allies on the move. The AAR of Waterloo by Gen. Montcalm is very instructive. His gracious sharing provides the ...

For most Windows 7 users, running as an administrator solves this problem.

You can do this as I do by right clicking and selecting run as admin; or you can select properties and find the tab to permanently run the program as an admin.

If this is not a fix for you, return a comment.

Not sure if this is an explanation, more technical players might shed additional light. Trying to obtain a the reward of strategic or overwhelming victory from the game reports should not be a goal in ageod games. If you and AI or your opponent lost troops as you likely did, then the 60 victory poin...

The only thing this very helpful page does not contain is that now, the host also sends a replay file. "rpl" Watching the 'movie' of the replay is very helpful in finding opponent moves in areas not in fog of war, as well as other moves. Remember to save prior to watching.

Narwhal and One Armed Mexican identify what is wonderful about the Ageod system. ACW is a perfect platform for this system. PON is not an ageod fan based game. Too much work, not enough battle. WW2 has so many titles and is not suited to ageod's good leadership model. ACW can develop from current ga...

Phil and team.
The genius of your games is the command with movement.

In my view, the 30 Years War is the next project. If not, then the English Civil War.
Much more modern, leadership not so important. And movement is dictated by the opponent.
