Thanks guys! I will likely tweak them a bit more before the final version is released. I like the Austin (right) better than the Rolls Royce (left) - my guess is the Rolls would be relatively rare even for the White factions so I might change the markings for the Austin armoured car as an optional g...

RUS GUI Overhaul Sneak Peek - Armoured Cars!

I'm currently working on a graphical user interface mod for RUS, and I was planning on keeping things hush-hush until it's finalized (which may take a while as I'm a perfectionist), but I was so pleased with how these armoured cars turned out that I wanted to share them with all of you... PoN was a huge let-down for me, due entirely to its turn processing times on my laptop. I don't regret a single cent paid on release, it's right up my alley, I bought all the DLCs and I own five other AGEOD titles that I'm very happy with, so one disappointment in six ain't bad. I'm glad to see ther...

Thanks for the reply le Anders! We may already have all positions filled, but I'll send you a PM if anything changes. I prefer to play the anti-Bolshevik crusaders so if you're interested in a PBEM at a later date I'll keep you in mind.

I've never played with activation penalties off, but I'm all right with that if the other feller is. I haven't played Kolchak's Coup or the Siberians before in PBEM but I'd like to give that campaign a try.

Hi bob! With you me and Philo that makes three, we just need to hash out the details - maybe we can do that in the thread I started (Kolchak seeks Lenin...) so we're not hijacking Vigabrand's. Philo32b - The Kolchak's Coup scenario seems to be a nice middle ground between the Grand and the Short Cam...

Philo32b, I'm particularly keen on playing the Siberians - I'll play both White sides if we can't find a third player for the Southerns but a three player matchup would be ideal in my eyes - I haven't played the Eastern Whites in PBEM before so I'd like to focus on that.

Kolchak seeks Lenin and possibly Denikin for GC or SC

Looking for a Red opponent and possibly a Southern White partner for a Grand Campaign or Short Campaign, your choice - I've heard the Grand Campaign may be unbalanced in favour of the Whites if they recognize the independence of minor states, however I have no intention of recognizing them (it all b...

Very exciting news, indeed! I might prefer something a bit more novel, but I look forward to the next incarnation - the ACW is a pretty safe bet sales-wise, I hope it makes them lots of money so they can make games about less famous conflicts! =D Having said that, I am pretty durnd excited about thi...

I'm happy to hear you're investigating the slowness issues - I've tried all the suggestions on this forum, and they helped make it playable - barely - but it's still very frustrating. I hope you find the roots of these problems.

Thanks for the reply, Durk. I chalked it up to panicky commanders as well, in my own personal narrative of the war... "You will become one with the Britain. Lower your shields and surrender your ships. Resistance is futile" - something like that. I wasn't going to post on the forums until my opponen...

200 pwr garrison surrenders to 20 pwr cavalry after 1 turn siege - WAD?

In an FIW PBEM, 9 units (~200 pwr) fully supplied in Fort Duquesne surrendered after a 30 day siege to a single cavalry unit (~20 pwr). I would've put a force outside the fort to swat this fly, but I didn't think it was a threat, and I was afraid my opponent might have a larger force on the way and ...

Yes, it will, provided the leader is active. IIRC it takes 5 days to destroy a depot, so any moves taking longer than 10 days will not be completed in the same turn.

Rattler makes a good point - they're nice to have, but it's not really necessary to build more, especially with the CSA's limited resources. I should also note, I do tend to "go fort heavy" with the CSA with coastal arty on the Mississippi.

I usually build at least two extra supply wagons as the CSA, and build an extra depot behind the lines in Virginia. I also tend to build depots along major rivers, but I use riverine transports for this purpose as they are cheaper than wagons. But wagons are worth their weight in gold - not only for...

Huh, I'm not sure what to make of this. On the one hand, I'm glad that PF will regain autonomy to focus on the AGE engine - I'm a fan of both studios, but I prefer PF's design philosophy and deeper military gameplay over PDS's realtime sandbox approach. On the other hand, I have to agree with OneArm...

I haven't thoroughly played RoP yet, but RUS is an awesome game, my favourite AGEOD title to date, so I heartily recommend it. I made a small mod with a couple alternatives to the default flag "bullets" (one with sharper bullets, one with square battle flags instead of bullets) - unfortunately, I lost a lot of stuff recently, but they'd be very easy to recreate.

Now I know, and knowing is half the battle. I like the way theatre restrictions are implemented, but an icon on the French fleet would be helpful for novices, yes ;)

Thanks andatiep, I suppose that makes sense - I just shrugged it off at first and rationalized it as a hotbed of mutiny, the theatre restriction hadn't occurred to me, but I didn't see the French/Ukraine trait icon on the ships, so I figured it didn't apply. It does seem to be an oversight, however ...

French fleet won't regain cohesion

Dejay's Flotte de la Mer Noire has been docked in Rostov on passive posture for the past several turns, yet it hasn't regained a single point of cohesion. Is a level 2 harbour not enough? Do they need to be stationed at a naval base to reorganize? I don't even know how they lost all that cohesion in...

Merge order quirkiness

I ordered Markov's division merge with Mai-Maievski's corps one day away by rail, but after redeploying Borovsky from Mai-Mai's corps to Azov, Markov's orders were changed to "Merge with Kornilov Division" (Borovsky), so he followed him home like a lost puppy. What gives? :bonk: The merge command ca...
