I'll take that as a no. :D

In that case, maybe it's time I try my hand at modding..

Appomattox campaign?

I tried searching but did not see this scenario available. Either way I think it would be fun to control what was left of Lee's army as you try to outrun Grant and join up with Johnson's army. Maybe its a part of another scenario pack that I'm not familiar with?

He won't leave! :mdr:

I have JEB's whole cav division in Richmond, setting them to attack stance every turn, and the Union general still just sits there.. Very odd. Either way its not a deal breaker for me, just kind of annoying.

Ah, that must be it because I don't have any cavalry in or around Richmond.. It's probably time to send JEB in to punish him... :)

Thanks for your help.

Enemy force stuck in Richmond?

Sorry if this issue has been posted elsewhere, I couldn't find it if it has. See attached screen. The Union force (or maybe its just a general) has been sitting in Richmond for the last several turns, probably 10 or so. Richmond is not showing as besieged and no matter what I do, he won't leave. I h...

Scourge of War is soon to be published by Matrix Games ! The DRM will be changing to Matrix Games' way, so it should be less problematic. There have been continued patches and the game has improved a lot over the last year. The multiplayer community is growing and still plays every day. Check us ou...

Thanks for the replies gentlemen. You mention self-imposed victory, that's pretty much the way I felt after that campaign. Even though the screen says stalemate, I dominated the map, defeated all of the major rebel armies, and basically had them cornered in South Carolina. That is a victory in my bo...

Hi, jennison At what turn did the game ended ? What was your (and CSA's) nation morale ? What exactly was the text on the end screen ? (pic ?) Regards This was the 1863 Full Campaign, ended on the last turn (68). Here's the exact text: "Stalemate None of the contenders managed to reach their territ...

It would be nice if the stalemate bug could be fixed. I just finished a grand campaign, dominating the Rebels, controlling all objective locations (eh erm.. except for Charleston) and it ended in a stalemate. I think I had over 6,000 victory points more than the Rebs. The game ended in a Stalemate.

Franciscus, did you read the last post? http://www.ageod-forum.com/showthread.php?t=21773 I tried that as well before coming to this thread. No luck.. The problem with mine isn't about the CPU going to sleep, but Ctrl-Alt-Delete alone crashes it with the DirectX error. Oh well, it's not a show stop...

I get this crash to desktop anytime I hit Ctrl-Alt-Delete, or lock my computer. I'm running Windows 7, and remember seeing it on my XP machine as well.

Graphics card issue maybe? I have crappy onboard Intel graphics, but the game still runs great (other than this crash obviously).

I know this problem was resolved, but just to help out anyone that might run into this in the future, I had the same exact error with Win7. Turns out that I didn't have a service started. For some reason, my Windows Audio EndPoint Builder service was stopped. I started the service, made sure my audi...

I vote a big NO. In fact, I wish I could find that thread that showed how to edit the game to remove the cap (although I'm not sure I ever confirmed if it worked or not) so I can use it in my new campaign. It's a HUGE buzz kill to be playing as the Confederates and to run out of divisions... Especia...

Yep, happens for this version, and by the end of 62(? It's been a while) it will cease to work IIRC. This should of course be fixed for the next version, whenever that is. (Supposed to be a few months ago, then showed progress, though nothing for the last while.) Ah, I should probably stop now then...

This quick fix patch trashed my game. :( When processing turns, it gets stuck on that "supply depot rule" message. It seems like the turn ends, but I can't click on anything and the bottom toolbar menu never shows up. I can't even exit the game without killing the task. At first I thought maybe it w...

I’m his opponent in this game, and I’ve been thinking about this. I think synchronization only works if the corps and armies start in the same region. One should hit the synchronization button of the army, that will then automatically make sure the corps button is synchronized (check this). Then mo...

Synchronized attack

Recently in my PBEM game, I ordered two Corps to attack an adjacent region, pressed the synchronized move button, and only one Corps actually attacked, therefore I lost the battle. They were not attacking across a river or anything like that, both Corps had good cohesion, and they were both activate...

Ready for a challenge

I have completed both a CSA and USA grand 61 campaign now. Both were tough but I'm ready for a real challenge.. I have a PBEM game going but my opponent (no offense if he's reading this) takes several days in between turns, so I still need something to keep me busy in between. Does anyone recommend ...

Back to the original question, you obviously moved the corps (first picture you are at Spotsylvania marching towards Richmond, second you are at Louisa. So assuming the two images are just one turn apart, you 1) moved the corps and lost cohesion doing so, 2) something hapenned to annul your order t...

Just stick 4 divisions in each corps. Don't stick loose units in unless you have extra CP to spend. Maybe I'm putting too many divisions in a Corps? I had 7 divisions, removed three, and now my Penalties disappeared. But now I of course lost a lot of power removing those divisions.. Should I beef u...

Lost 60% of power for no apparent reason?

This Corps had 1664 power: http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e143/AFA2649/power.jpg I hit the End Turn button, and then it went down to 687! http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e143/AFA2649/no_power.jpg I checked the log and it wasn't involved in any battles or anything (no log messages whatsoever per...

The standard way to win is to either get your NM up to a certain point, or get your enemies to below a certain point (or vice versa). So watch your NM. Indeed, I learned that the hard way. In my last full campaign, I held all of the objective locations, outnumbered the Union by around 5,000 victory...
