You really have them on the ropes now. I'm very impressed. Just punch them around for a bit longer (good preparation for that coming war with the Russians) and then rip them apart. I'd love to see a political map after you release all sorts of nations from the Habsburg yoke. And take loki 's assista...

Nicely done, hammering away at that Austrian army. I'm very impressed how the balance of power has turned so much in your favor.

The General (it sounds more respectful than 'that Monkey-Bear') offers sound advice, so I don't have any suggestions to add to it. :)

The real horror is languages like Dutch with its utterly arbitrary (to me) neutral and common genders, which make no sense, have no clues in terns of word structure and affect almost everything in a sentence once you do something more complex than: een kat zat op een mat or similar (as well as havi...

Anyway, they don't die or desert so fast. It is most probably cohesion. The power index can produce some really bad surprises if one is not aware of its fluctuations. This is a general comment. I don't know the game and you do (intimately), so I take your words very seriously. :) I'm sure that cohe...

I was going to comment incredulously on the Dutch, with their 12,000-power stack sitting around eating all the food in Rotterdam, until I noticed the German überdoomstack that everyone else has mentioned (with another 7,600-power stack hot on its heels)... How do you stop a monster like that? Unless...

Fish and rice. Exciting stuff! ;)

Playing Japan seems hard enough as it is, without roleplaying its historical isolationism. I look forward to finding out how well you can do.

The main Austrian army went from 25,000 power to roughly 3,000. Purely from attrition. That is just an unbelievable turn of events - the Austrians really screwed themselves when they didn't break out from that encirclement. Your prospects look good. As long as you can get an offer through to the Aus...

Lovely poster. I was able to decipher the gist of it by relying on the ever-rustier high school Latin, though not all of it. Certainly would've made more sense in German, but then again, if I read it right, the author acclaims the Viennese for being intelligent - obviously, any intelligent being in ...

Hi Kensai . I see you've started the latest entry in the PON AAR forum. Thanks! As you probably know, I'm more of a reader than a player, so I appreciate another dose of PON goodness in the form of words. Japan should be an interesting country to watch. I'm assuming Perry and his black ships will sh...

A lot of activity over the last few days! I like the way the war has see-sawed back and forth: you started off well, then the Austrians threw those million-strong armies at you, then you slaughtered them at Thessaloniki... And now the Austrians are offering peace! Excellent! I assume that's a reflec...

Awesome! Another PON AAR! Looking forward to your war. I can't offer any advice, but having tagged along with loki 's AAR from the beginning, I think it's safe to say he offers good tips. And I thought that German tank was ugly. Sheesh! The in-game model looks like a brick shed on tracks. But the stats are pretty impressive, I'll admit. I noticed Uncle Bulgaria wears tartans, which means Bulgaria is a natural ally for Italy (via the tortuous logic that a fictional TV character named ...

Both sides added to the prestige pile in the crisis. The total pot was ~14,000 prestige points, which was split between the 2 sides. It probably meant that Italy provided 8,000-10,000 to the pot, and Germany 4,000-6,000. I say that, as Italy has so much prestige (compared to Germany). Also. the amo...

On the bright side, it looks like an impossibility that the US will catch up with you in prestige, so a victory on points seems assured (well, that is unless your self-inflicted World War goes horribly wrong for Italy). The Belgians, being well-versed in the areas of wining and dining, probably made the mistake of questioning the sanity of elevating Lutefisk to a national culinary treasure. I'm sure the Norsemen would not take kindly to that. Belgian Blood Eagles, anyone? Anyway, the British are trying to infiltrat...

Looks like the Russians mobilized on a grand scale for their tussle with the Japanese. Now, to get those troops across the sea to Japan proper... I like the Italian way of thinking that puts the North Pole as far south as you can possibly get and still be in the general area of the Arctic. I mean, it's cold enough as it is in Gothab, why would you want to venture north any further? I doubt very many people will be willing to dispute the matte...

In the last screenshot, the Prussians only have a slight combat power lead over you - I assume this is a direct result from your (their?) energetic campaign to weed out the dead wood. I wonder how quickly that number will go back up to the 200 range: if it doesn't, you might have wounded the Germans...

Well, on the bright side and looking at it from a historical perspective, the French never were able to stand up to the Prussians (and I can't believe that the Belgians would make any noticeable difference), so at least you won't have to worry about the Hun swarming into Italy from the Cote d'Azur. ...
