I'm not getting it. Gray, in your first link I saw a post by you in which you said - "I don't think the depot's demand reflect's the number of troops drawing from the depot but rather a finite capacity that the depot has. " which seems to contradict what you just said i...

1.15.
I would have a leader in the stack, and if he was inactive, I'd remove him from the stack, or pull a combat unit out of the stack, and try with that unit, and get the same mouseover message. Later, I am able to trash the depot.
I'll try to pay a bit more attention next time this happens.

It is odd that in my current game, I occasionally go to blow up a depot and get a mouse-over tip saying "cannot blow up a depot of level 2 or greater", even though I know it is a level 1 depot (Harper's Ferry was one of them?). I'm later able to assign a unit to blow it up. Odd.

Strategic Rating of subordinate commanders

Do they matter? If I have a choice of two division commanders, one is a 3/3/3 and the other is a 2/4/4, is there any disadvantage of using that 2/4/4 as a commander, assuming that at all times that division will be part of a corps? Meaning, do division commanders, who are part of a corps, use their ...

AGE engine games

Only AGE engine game I own is the AACW. Love it.

In what order did the AGE engine games come out?

I ask because I'm looking to pick up a 2nd title, and would prefer a newer (and presumably more advanced?) offering.

Do folks that own/play multiple AGE games have a particular recommendation?

Mexicans in my replacement pool?

I'm in early Feb, 62. Union. Looking at last turns results. French Intervention in Mexico +1 National Morale and -10 Foreign Entry Level. Vera Cruz is now French controlled. French army lands in Mexico (locked till foreign intervention triggers war). ok. Two lines down I also se...

Got it, thanks. Yeah, the version may have something to do with my confusion. I've been playing under 1.07, and just this weekend loaded up 1.15. Lots of little changes. Was going nuts turn after turn not being able to create division with my Union generals until Oct 1861. Anyhow, that may be the so...

Units v Elements

I had read on these boards that I can stop the enemy from crossing rivers by interdicting the river with 4 gunboats. But is that 4 gunboat units or 4 gunboat elements? (When I buy a gunboat unit, it comes with 2 actual gunboat elements). Similar question when it comes to building a depot with 2 Supp...
